I wasn’t happy with the pea diet because I had to spend too much time preparing food. First, keep it in water, then boil it (and peas take a very long time to cook), then grind it in a blender... Cooking options

There are many options for preparing delicious and healthy pea dishes that are suitable for your diet.

Pea porridge

Pea porridge is a good breakfast while losing weight. The preparation of the dish is as follows:

  1. Rinse 1 cup of peas (dry only) and add 1 liter of water.
  2. Keep it like this all night.
  3. In the morning, rinse and fill with clean water.
  4. Boil, cook for 30 minutes without a lid. Stir occasionally and remove the film.
  5. At the end, add salt (to taste) and olive oil (10 ml).

Pea mash

A side dish for dinner during a diet is pea puree. It can be prepared as follows:

  1. Pour 1 cup of dry peas with water and wait 12 hours.
  2. Drain the water and add 3 cups of clean water.
  3. Cook for up to 3 hours. Constantly remove the film.
  4. Add 50 ml olive oil, salt to taste.
  5. Bring to readiness, turn off the heat and keep in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  6. When cool, mash the peas. You can rub through a sieve or use a blender.

You can also cook pea puree in a slow cooker. You will need 2 glasses of water and a glass of dry peas. Preparation is as follows:

  1. Place the food in the multicooker bowl.
  2. Add salt and stir.
  3. Close the container.
  4. Let's choose a stew. Set for 1 hour (if the peas were soaked overnight) or 2 hours (if the product was not pre-treated).

After cooking, all you have to do is wait until the dish cools down and grind the resulting mass in a blender.

Boiled peas

Boiled peas are a staple during the diet due to their low calorie content. In addition, it is not as aggressive for the digestive tract as fresh.

Many people refuse boiled products during a diet, believing that due to heat treatment, the beneficial substances in it are destroyed. But peas are an unusual product: this rule does not apply to them, and they retain their nutritional components.

If the peas are whole, it is recommended to soak them in water for 5–10 hours. Otherwise, you will have to cook it for a long time until it is completely cooked. The chopped meat does not need to be soaked, but it must be boiled for at least 1 hour. To speed up this process, it is recommended to add a few pieces of ice or baking soda to boiling water. Then the peas will burst and boil faster.

Diet salad

There are many recipes for salads with the addition of peas. For the first option you will need:

  • green peas - 1 cup,
  • apple - 1 pc. (it is better to choose sour varieties),
  • green onions - a bunch,
  • lemon - 1 pc.,
  • cottage cheese (low-fat only) - 250 g,
  • pepper and salt - to taste.

Preparation is as follows:

  1. Peel the apple and cut into medium-sized pieces.
  2. Squeeze juice from half a lemon.
  3. Finely chop the onion.
  4. Mix all ingredients.

For the second salad option you will need:

  • boiled fish fillet,
  • canned seaweed,
  • green pea,
  • sour cream,
  • boiled rice,
  • boiled egg.

Take all ingredients in quantities depending on your own taste, but do not add too much sour cream. Pre-cut the fish fillet and seaweed. Add remaining components.

Pea soup

It is recommended to eat dietary soup for lunch. And pea not only fits this description perfectly, but is also tasty and nutritious.

To prepare it you will need the following ingredients:

  • water - 5 l,
  • celery root - 200 g,
  • carrots - 4 pcs.,
  • peas - 1 cup,
  • onion - 1 pc.,
  • olive oil - 10 ml.

Preparation is as follows:

  1. Finely chop the celery root.
  2. Peel 2 carrots and chop.
  3. Pour water over both components and boil for 30 minutes. Take out the vegetables - this will be the broth for the pea soup.
  4. The peas should be soaked in the evening. It is supposed to be cooked in broth until it becomes soft.
  5. Peel and chop the onion and remaining carrots. Place on a baking sheet, add oil and bake for 10 minutes in the oven.
  6. Place the baked vegetables in the soup 10 minutes before the end of cooking.
  7. If desired, add spices and salt to taste.

The pea diet seems to me one of the most optimal. It is quite easy to carry and is varied. Muscle mass does not suffer. And the patient does not suffer from hunger. The diet can be designed in such a way that it contains all the necessary microelements and vitamins. That is, a fairly balanced weight loss system. However, I would not recommend staying on it for more than 3-4 days. Because peas cause increased gas formation, people have been joking about this for centuries. Dill water, unfortunately, does not help everyone. If you do not experience flatulence, you can extend the diet for the whole week.
