Coffee with ginger: beneficial properties and possible harm

Excess weight is a thing that spoils life and mood, although it is acquired thanks to your favorite delicacies: buns, pastries, cakes and fried chicken. But you always want to get rid of ballast as quickly as possible and, ideally, forever. In pursuit of this goal, people go on exhausting diets and kill their bodies in gyms. If neither the first nor the second appeals, you can always turn to “natural” remedies. In this article I will tell you how to make delicious coffee with ginger and in what quantities you can drink it to benefit the body.

Is it possible to add ginger to coffee?

Ginger can be added to coffee fresh, dried or as a spice. The fresh root concentrates the maximum aroma, which a person will certainly notice when drinking coffee, but ginger, in the form of a seasoning, will make the drink quite spicy. In general, the seasoning gives the drink a pleasant spicy taste.

You can add not only zanjabeel to coffee, but also other spices. Particularly popular is clove, which can enhance its taste thanks to notes of cardamom, mint and other seasonings. Adding dairy products allows you to soften the taste of ginger significantly. Sugar and honey are added if desired; there are no prescribed restrictions or limits. If a person wants to lose a few extra pounds with the help of ginger, it is better not to sweeten the coffee. Many people prefer classic coffee, because sweet notes significantly distort the classic taste.

Subtleties of cooking

You can add ginger to coffee in different ways, fresh, or in powder form, or a combination. If dry ground is used, then the correct dosage is a level teaspoon, or even less.

You will need even less grated ginger - half a teaspoon. To mix the types, you need to grate just a little bit of the root and add the powder on the tip of a knife.

You should always start with a minimal amount of spice, otherwise the drink may turn out too bitter. Over time, the dose can be slightly increased.

The longer the ginger is in the cup, the more its flavor will be felt. If ginger is not obtained on time, after 10 minutes the drink will be impossible to drink due to its scalding properties.

How to cook at home, what you need

The finished product turns out tasty and healthy if you take into account the recommendations of those who have been preparing it for a long time. Coffee can be brewed at home without using special coffee machines.

  • It is allowed to use powdered ginger, but this will negatively affect the taste of the drink and its usefulness. It is better to purchase fresh root; moreover, it is easy to find at the market or in the vegetable section of the supermarket.
  • The taste of the drink can become more rich and spicy if the coffee is brewed with the root, rather than adding it after preparation.
  • Instant coffee is several times weaker than natural coffee, so it is preferable to choose the second option.

For the rest, you need to follow the recommendations prescribed in a separate recipe, and then you will be pleased with the result.

Add-ons

If there is tea, there will be sweets. If you have a cup of coffee, you need to come up with something tasty and low in calories, otherwise the effect of ginger coffee will be canceled.

As a snack, you can use homemade oatmeal cookies with honey, marshmallows or marmalade (compared to other sweets, they are lower in calories), nuts (but in moderation, these guys in large quantities only bring problems). You can treat yourself with a heaping tablespoon of honey. But no more. You can also bite on various fruits.
