To date, the only commercialized BiTE drug is Blincyto (blinatumomab), developed by Amgen and the Japanese Astellas Pharma, targeting CD19 and CD3 and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in October 2014 for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell progenitor-derived acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in patients without the Philadelphia chromosome (Ph−).
