Nutritionists of the stars Moisenko and Koroleva named the products necessary in the fight against cellulite

Rimma Moysenko: my slimming program!

Rimma Vasilievna Moysenko

– doctor of the highest category, nutritionist, cardiologist, physiotherapist, candidate of medical sciences, creator of the author’s program for achieving beauty and health.

Creator and founder of the “Beauty for Children” charity foundation, the goal of which is the social adaptation and rehabilitation of disabled children with congenital or acquired defects in appearance.

— Rimma Vasilievna, tell us how your journey into nutrition began?

In 1989, I defended my Ph.D. dissertation in the specialty of Cardio-Reanimatologist. Around the same time, I was invited to work as a doctor at the Russian Shaping Federation. At the same time, I completed training in sports medicine and began, as the chief physician of the Shaping Federation, to teach trainers the basics of physiotherapy and dietetics. It was then that the first physiotherapeutic devices were purchased - lymphatic drainage, electrical stimulation, cryolipolysis, electrolipolysis - many of these methods are still relevant today. At the same time, we began to develop the first nutrition and weight loss programs.

How long ago was your center founded, which you opened with your sister Margarita Koroleva?

Rita and I are twins, she, like me, is a cardiologist.

But she came to the Center a little later, when we could no longer cope. This happened in the 90s. Until 2004, our Center existed within the framework of a physical culture and health complex. But even then we were actively developing - we purchased new equipment every year, invested a lot of money in training, in our education in the field of dietetics, physiotherapy, and cosmetology.

In 2004, our Center expanded. The center employs the best doctors, professionals in their field, and I trust them completely.

What services do you provide to the patients of the center?

We help people improve themselves, change their body and self-image. We work within the framework of dietetics, physiotherapy, cosmetology and psychology.

The first and most important direction of our activity is diagnostic. We have our own laboratory, and we also cooperate with the Center for Medical Epidemiology - we send some tests there. There are specialist offices: an endocrinologist, a gynecologist, a gastroenterologist-hepatologist, 4 nutritionists, a neurologist and even a psychologist! There is also a physiotherapist and as many as 5 cosmetologists. I can say with confidence that my doctors are wonderful, I am proud of them and value them.

Where does work begin with a patient who wants to lose weight?

Initially, the patient comes for a consultation and fills out a fairly extensive questionnaire about his eating habits - this way we can understand whether there is an eating disorder.

Next, we conduct a conversation and determine body composition. We definitely carry out an additional examination using the “Complex Medical Expert (CME)” apparatus. This device allows for a complete screening of the human body. Thanks to this examination, I can see the psychological status of a person and the “breakdowns” of his body at all levels. If there is some serious health problem, we first solve it, and then the person returns and we begin to work on losing weight.

During the first appointment, we work with a person for about 3 hours, during the diagnostic process we ask questions, prescribe a list of tests and additional examinations that need to be completed for a further meeting. All this extensive data is needed to create an individual weight loss program.

— Is such diagnostics also part of your proprietary weight loss method?

Exactly. My main task is to find the main cause of excess weight, and not only functional but also psychological parameters are taken into account - the character of a person, his relationships and much more. I ask a lot of questions during the initial conversation and determine the person’s psychological type. In total, we have identified 6 leading psychotypes - all of them are described in my book, which should be published soon. And based on all this data, I help a person learn to feed himself. There is only one recipe for losing weight - learn to listen to yourself and control what you eat, and not go on “fashionable” diets.

Whatever one may say, we, like our classical medicine, are talking about a balanced, varied diet. Which must contain all the ingredients, vitamins, probiotics, the right vegetables, fruits, sweets...

All people are now in pursuit of that one magic pill that will rid them of excess weight once and for all. There is no such magic pill, but I really want to believe in it.

Therefore, people come already with good experience of visiting nutritionists, losing and regaining weight. Here my task is to suggest what mistakes were made before he came here, what character traits prevent him from being consistent, what types of metabolism are disturbed, what food products should be feared - all this so that the person will then be at his stable weight at for many years.

We begin the weight loss program itself with the organization of a drinking regime, since clean water is the most important means of transport, which pulls all toxic substances and decay products from the body. We teach drinking gradually so that a person realizes the need for water. My task is to bring awareness to a person and instill in him new habits from now on and forever. We change ourselves, change our attitude towards life, form a new self (psychologists help us here), and with this comes the ability to take care of ourselves and value our health.

How long does your weight loss program last?

The first stage lasts 40 days, exactly the amount needed to form a new habit.

This is true for any new business that a person begins to engage in. At this time, patients come to us once every 10 days, with a detailed menu that records everything that a person eats. And we check how balanced the nutrition is and calculate everything using a special program. We must understand the number of calories, check the protein-fat-carbohydrate ratio, the presence of vitamins and microelements. We are gradually restructuring the diet, changing the ratio of products so that there is no deficiency of vitamins and microelements. Sometimes additional nutritional supplements may be required.

The second stage is another 120 days.

During this time, primary habits are laid down at the subconscious level. Consciousness is rebuilt, the habit goes into the subconscious, and this guarantees that a person will not change his ideal weight in the next 2-3 years. At this stage, patients come 1-2 times a month. In addition, some patients also come to us for physical therapy aimed at correcting their shape.

Can the program be individual or group? Which ones do people lose weight better in?

— We offer mainly individual programs. But we also organize off-site events where we conduct group classes. Now we have agreed to open a gym for working on breathing techniques. Among other things, the hall will offer therapeutic exercises, yoga and other techniques that change consciousness and help a person. Because physical activity must be mandatory, and we must be able to control its dose, type, and regularity.

Tell us more about what physical activities are included in your program?

It has been noted that breathing techniques are the most effective in terms of detoxification. For example, bodyflex from the well-known Marina Korpan. One of her students, Antonina Kravets, works with us. With her, we did a section on breathing exercises in my book - there will be detailed exercise diagrams, as well as CDs for independent work.

Thanks to breathing techniques, volumes are released well

– after all, our body loses its shape when the diaphragm stops working. Since all women naturally breathe through the chest, the diaphragm sag from impotence and changes its position. Aging of the body begins with the fact that more toxins accumulate than are eliminated. But they don’t appear because we don’t know how to breathe and don’t know how to drink water. The breathing technique is accompanied by physical exercise, and within a month the muscles, without changing weight, change shape. The volume of the chest changes, the abdomen disappears, and lymphatic drainage begins. And any weight loss program becomes even more effective. In addition, a person’s well-being improves, shortness of breath disappears, a feeling of joy in life appears and a desire to do something additional.

Therefore, the process of losing weight necessarily includes lifestyle, normal sleep, alternation of work and rest, mandatory fluid intake and mandatory breathing exercises, which are simply necessary for every person over 30 years old. These conditions should become part of the lifestyle and help him reach his stable weight.

You are talking about a balanced diet, but are there any foods that are better to exclude from your diet? For example, vegetarian, no-carb, low-fat, etc.?

— I’ll tell you about one study that was conducted over 25 years - the “Chinese study.” American scientists studied the nutritional patterns of different population groups in different areas of the world. Based on this research, they came to the conclusion that when a person grows and the formation of organs and all systems occurs, protein of natural origin is needed. That is, meat is needed for at least 25 years. After 35 years

The process of aging of the body begins, and then, if a person wants to have a high quality of life, nutrition must be revised. It should become relatively vegetarian - you need to eat vegetables, fruits, cereals, coarse bread, nuts, seeds and once a day - fish as animal protein. Dairy products are also extremely important: cottage cheese, kefir, cheese. That is, this is a classic balanced diet that includes all the ingredients, but is by no means vegan (pure vegetarianism). Why is it recommended to reduce meat consumption as you age? Red meat is heavy and has a lot of hidden fat, while fish has enough antioxidants and omega-3s to make it a must-have.

Is separate nutrition useful?

— There are certain rules for combining foods under which they are poorly absorbed. Animal protein (i.e. meat) does not go well with grains (rice). Meat is a complex protein product that requires additional digestive juices; it is digested in 5 hours. Bread - just like cereals - is a separate product, a complex carbohydrate, it also requires the separate participation of all digestive juices.

The second point is the combination of acidic and alkaline. Bread, for example, goes well only with fat - butter or cheese.

If we are talking about a classic sandwich - bread with sausage - and let’s assume that sausage is meat, the same product with a complex chain of proteins, many amino acids. Such a chain is already difficult to split, but in the presence of bread (a long chain of carbohydrates and starch) it is almost impossible! Further, if within 5 hours the product does not have time to break down to its final elements, rotting begins, and against this background many toxins are released.

And many of our eating habits are not correct. It is tasty, good and relatively harmless until the age of 25, if there are no genetic peculiarities. But after 25 years, you need to take into account the nuances of nutrition. And everyone spoke in favor of separate nutrition, from Hippocrates to Montignac.

— What about the frequency of meals and drinks during meals?

- You can drink after eating at least half an hour later, not immediately, since water dilutes gastric juice and interferes with the digestion of food.

According to physiology, we are supposed to eat 5 meals, this is due to blood sugar levels, which drop every 2.5-3 hours. If no food intake occurs during this time, the burden of maintaining insulin levels in the blood falls on the pancreas. If we want to have ideal health, we must eat every 2.5 - 3 hours, then stable carbohydrate metabolism is maintained and neither the liver nor the pancreas “wears out”. Given 5 meals, a person eats much less than in three meals, because the feeling of hunger increases and you want to eat a little more.

How do you feel about the extremely popular trends today: the blood diet, the Dukan diet?

— Each of these methods has its own rational grain, has its positive and negative sides. But we are all very different. And today, perhaps, there is not a single diet that would be universal for everyone. That's why an individual approach is so important. For example, the Dukan diet

Suitable for those who have impaired carbohydrate metabolism. That is, first the amount of carbohydrates is minimized and then you need to look at the state of health - how a person reacts to the diet.

Diet according to blood type

very relative and approximate, there are indeed some foods that are ideal for a particular blood type, and there are foods that are not suitable for them at all. But this approach is not sufficient. If we work on immunoglobulins E, then here we are talking about allergic intolerance to certain products that are not suitable for a person. Such programs are good as therapeutic programs if a person has various diseases. If we are talking about an analysis for immunoglobulin G4, we are talking about a delayed-type allergic reaction, which we often listen to. This is an individual intolerance to certain foods, when foods are not completely digested, their elements are retained in the body and cause the production of blood antibodies. But such a detailed blood test, again, is not indicated for everyone. We carry it out if there is a stop in weight loss and some ailments associated with weight loss are observed. Based on this analysis, a person gives up certain foods for a while, his metabolism starts, he gets rid of toxins, and the process of losing weight continues.

Detox programs are very popular now. How effective is this technique?

Detox

– this is extremely important. We were one of the first to offer such programs. This program must be diagnosed based on signs of intoxication. In the body, under the influence of various foods, the pH of the internal environment, primarily the intestines, changes - its environment changes from alkaline to acidic. This happens if a person abuses protein products: they do not have time to be digested and create intermediate elements that interfere with the normal functioning of the body. Increasing intoxication is accompanied by decreased performance, sleep disturbances - and if people eat unhealthy foods, smoke a lot, and sleep little - intoxication increases. Detox nutrition is aimed at changing the pH of internal environments so that normal flora is revived and coexists in this body. Our task is to prescribe those food products that can enrich the internal environment with alkali. Alcohol, coffee, and sweet tea are excluded from the diet for the first 10-20 days. Meat and meat-like products, baked goods (but not cereals!), almost all fruits (with the exception of bananas and ripe apples) are eliminated; tomatoes, spinach, and sorrel are excluded from vegetables.

Next, a nutrition program is drawn up from permitted foods, which necessarily includes cereals, fermented milk products and a large amount of water (minimum 30 grams per 1 kg of body weight). Perhaps choleretic teas, herbs involved in detoxification, bathhouse, sauna. As a result of this program, health, sleep improves, joy of life appears, performance increases, while a person can lose a certain amount of kilograms, but this program is not at all aimed at losing weight. This is just a pleasant side effect.

After a detoxification program, when the PH of the internal environment is restored, when good flora takes root and all systems for assimilation of food and their breakdown to final elements work well enough, we can be sure that all elements are absorbed and do not lead to the accumulation of toxins.

How do you feel about all kinds of teas and weight loss medications?

— Since 1989, when I came into the field of dietetics, I have been very interested in all new products and drugs for weight loss. My task is to find what is most effective in today's market. I study the market very actively, and periodically introduce something new. If it is good and justified.

I can vouch for some compositions that accelerate and improve carbohydrate metabolism and water-salt metabolism. But all this must be taken according to indications.

There are nutritional supplements that accelerate the movement of bile; they are required in our endoecological rehabilitation and detoxification program. We are conducting it in collaboration with Yuri Markovich Levin, he works at the Department of Lymphology and Endoecology at RUDN University. The preparations were partly created by him, they are of plant origin and have proven effectiveness. These programs have a comprehensive and immediate effect on all excretory systems of the body. After all, you cannot work with only one aspect of the body, because if we cleanse only one organ, all toxic substances from others are sent there according to the laws of diffusion. Often, such programs are prescribed before a person begins to globally reduce their weight. Patients take inhalations with herbs, procedures in an infrared cabin and wraps, choleretic preparations, kidney tea, nutrition and intestinal cleansing - herbs, pectins, which collect toxic elements.

You are the creator and founder of the “Beauty for Children” charity foundation, the goal of which is the social adaptation and rehabilitation of disabled children. How are things going with the foundation today?

— The initial idea was born a long time ago, when we realized that we ourselves could not help the category of patients who needed it most - children. We can provide assistance in the field of aesthetic surgery to adults, but we are forced to send children to republican children's hospitals. This requires money, sometimes a lot of it. The state partially helps, allocates quotas - but this is not enough. That’s when we created our own charitable foundation – and now we direct the profits from many of our commercial projects there. We recently held an auction, the proceeds from which were transferred to children with pathologies in appearance. These can be congenital pathologies - usually missing ears, lower jaw, cleft lip, or acquired pathologies - for example, post-burn scars. The fund allows us to raise quite impressive sums and help children and teenagers regain their beauty and believe in themselves.

Nutritionist lists fruits that are dangerous to health

The widespread belief about the benefits of fruits has some basis. However, sometimes fruits can only harm your health - it depends on what products you choose in the store, as well as on the diseases people have. Candidate of Medical Sciences, therapist, nutritionist Rimma Moisenko, in a conversation with Sputnik radio, listed fruits that are dangerous to health and named only two exceptions to the rules.

So, when choosing fruits, it is important to pay attention to their ripeness and hardness. The nutritionist noted that soft fruits produce a lot of juice and contain a large amount of fructose. As you know, this monosaccharide is twice as sweet as glucose; abuse of fructose is fraught with an increase in blood cholesterol levels and the appearance of toxic visceral fat. In addition, excessive consumption of fruits can negatively affect metabolism and also lead to diabetes.

“It doesn’t matter what kind of fruit it is: if it is too soft and has already sat down, then this fruit is bad. We need fruits that have a rigid shape, maintain their rigidity and contain the least amount of juice, because juice is sweetness,” noted Rimma Moisenko.

Another argument not in favor of fruits is the formation of increased fermentation in the body. Moreover, this applies not only to fruits, but also to berries. So, gooseberries, black currants and grapes should be consumed with caution.

The third dangerous property of fruits is the likelihood of allergies in a person after eating them. This is especially true for exotic fruits such as kiwi, pineapple, bananas, mangoes and others.

In addition, not all people can eat fruits and berries at all, not to mention reasonable doses. This rule applies to those who suffer from problems with the gastrointestinal tract.

“If we are talking about a person who is no longer completely healthy, who has some problems with the gastrointestinal tract, no fruits are suitable for him at all, but first of all, citrus fruits are not suitable,” the nutritionist added.

However, there are exceptions to every rule, in this case lemon and lime. Thus, the specialist called lemon the most useful fruit, since it contains a six-component vitamin C system. The acids of this fruit are very useful for older people and people with low acid activity in the stomach. But there are some nuances here too.

“This is a unique fruit. Only people prone to peptic ulcers and gastritis with high acidity are afraid of it,” the doctor said.

Nutritionist Rimma Moisenko advised eating dates in small quantities, as they do not aggravate the situation with fermentation in the body. In addition, she noted that a couple of apples and pears weekly will not do any harm, it is only important to remember the rule for selecting fruits in the store.

Where does it come from?

Cellulite is a change in the structure of adipose tissue, due to which the skin, instead of smooth, looks lumpy, uneven, and resembles an orange peel. It happens not only to those who suffer from excess weight, but also to slender ladies. There are many reasons for this, and they are much more serious than fried potatoes at night.

“Cellulite is the price to pay for being women! This is a violation of the outflow of fluids from the intercellular spaces of subcutaneous fat. And it is connected with various reasons,” says Rimma Vasilievna.

Not everyone’s metabolic processes in the body are ideal, she notes. And any imbalance leads to greater accumulation of fluid in the intercellular space. This can also lead to visible and invisible cellulite, which in turn depends on the elasticity of the skin.

“You shouldn’t approach the causes of cellulite one-sidedly. We need to understand the reasons. Look at the state of the thyroid gland, the phase of the menstrual cycle (the second is characterized by the accumulation of cell contents, fluid retention in the body). On the state of venous and lymphatic outflow: if there is a congenital feature (impaired venous outflow), then there may also be an accumulation of fluid, which contributes to the formation of cellulite,” the interlocutor emphasizes.

Even the health of a girl’s back affects the appearance of “orange peel”: very often beauties with a classic S-shaped curve have it. Therefore, having taken up the task of getting rid of the ill-fated lumps, it is worth visiting an osteopath, and also checking the condition of the lumbosacral spine.

Another important factor is water-salt imbalance. This happens if the body does not absorb vitamins and nutrients from food.

“And it doesn’t digest because the food itself may be undiversified, incorrect, and high in calories. This is any food that is produced in our industry - bread, some milk, in a word, everything that stores offer us. The food that is made by industrialists is the one that does not grow in the field, is not created by nature, not vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, poultry, but buns, sausages, canned food. Most of the food is empty. There are no vitamins and microelements. Moreover, if you used to eat such food, and then began to eat properly at some stage, cellulite will persist!” - says Rimma Vasilievna.
