Traditional and non-standard combinations

The French assure that a woman can make a hat, a scandal or a salad out of nothing. But in order to put together a truly healthy dish, you will have to remember the rules for combining ingredients. Without them, salad will turn into a serious digestive problem.

All fruits are conventionally divided into three groups:

  1. Sweet: banana, fig, persimmon, melon, sweet grapes, jackfruit, watermelon, papaya, dried fruits. After entering the stomach, any of them, except banana, pass further through the gastrointestinal tract after 10-15 minutes, and digestion occurs in the small intestine. Any delay in the stomach for a longer period threatens with sharp pain, colic, and nausea. The banana splits for at least 40-45 minutes.
  2. Semi-sour and semi-sweet - apple, pear, plum, cherry, raspberry, lychee, blackberry, strawberry, blueberry, grape, mango, mangosteen, rambutan, apricot, peach, carom. Fermentation in the stomach takes up to 35-40 minutes.
  3. Sour - citrus fruits, strawberries, pineapple, pomegranate, passion fruit, gooseberries, kiwi, cranberries, currants, sour apples or plums, sloe. Digestion of these products usually takes half an hour.

The compatibility rules (for salads, cocktails, non-tea teas, smoothies, etc.) are presented in the table:
