Breakfast menu "Shokoladnitsa"
The influence of Western films and TV series has done its job: every successful person cannot imagine his morning without a cup of aromatic cappuccino or latte. In the morning, a special atmosphere reigns in “Shokoladnitsa”: the smell of chocolate and coffee is in the air, cheesecakes and omelettes are being fried , slightly sleepy visitors are sipping coffee - it’s breakfast time.
The morning at the coffee shop is divided into two parts, starting from the very opening (usually 10 am, but some establishments are open from 6 am) and lasts until 11 am, and then extended for another hour - this is for the most ardent fans of Morpheus.
However, the latter will have to pay for their love of sleep and the desire to lie in bed longer, since during the last hour the price of breakfast increases slightly.
The morning offer includes a set breakfast consisting of a main course and a drink at a special price. The drink menu is varied: from coffee beans to orange juice.
Breakfast prices start at about 120 rubles - for this amount you can eat healthy rice or oatmeal porridge with fresh berries or fruits and drink a cup of coffee. Granular cottage cheese with jam or berries, fruit salad dressed with yogurt, scrambled eggs and omelettes without additives cost about the same.
If you can pay extra, then you can add fried bacon, ham, cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, bell peppers to a standard scrambled egg or omelet - the price of a culinary experiment ranges around 30-40 rubles per unit.
The most expensive offer is the European breakfast and breakfast “a la russe”. The first consists of a roll or croissant with an omelette, the second - of cheesecakes and pancakes with different fillings. Such breakfasts without drinks cost 160 and 130 rubles, respectively.

A masterpiece by default, this cream of soup is legendary for me. Includes croutons (various crusts - some small, some large, but this is lunch, at least the soup is 100 rubles cheaper than from the main menu) How many times have I tried cream soup in different coffee shops, in Shokoladnitsa it is always the same. Cream soup is what you need to get at Shokoladnitsa. 10 out of 10. Ideal in taste, richness, and consistency.
Caesar salad
The cheese is similar to Grano Padano, Parmigiano or Giugas - this is real Parmesan, not an alternative, there is also Iceberg lettuce and Romaine lettuce, a few pieces of chicken and tomatoes, not bad. It costs 200 rubles. Small, but looks delicious. The sauce is correct, tasty, overall, a great Caesar salad.
Homemade lemonade

Very, very rich, lemony, sweet and sour taste.
Pancakes with meat
Price 130 rubles
Good pancakes, not overdried minced meat.

Speed - they took a long time to approach us, they brought food quickly from the moment we ordered, but from the moment we sat down and the waiter approached me, a lot of time passed, about 10 minutes;
The decor is cozy, nice warm pastel colors, comfortable;
Comfort – small distance between tables (that is, for example, I, speaking into the camera, potentially disturbed my neighbors);
The staff - at the very beginning and when we left, they told us that according to internal regulations it was forbidden to film, but in general, no one interfered.
Shokoladnitsa - lunches (menu features)
Breakfast is replaced by lunch, which starts at 12 noon and lasts for four whole hours: everyone will have time to have lunch. To receive a business lunch at a special price, you must order two dishes and one drink. The little ones will have to pay the full price, the cunning ones will have to apply the basics of cunning elsewhere: it is also impossible to split lunch between 2 people.
The average price for lunch revolves around 350 rubles: for this money you can order a salad or soup plus a main course and a drink. A set lunch consisting of three courses, including salad, main course, soup and drink will cost about 400 rubles. The cheapest offer: soup, salad, drink - costs an order of magnitude cheaper, about 250 rubles.
Soups are presented for every taste: minestrone, cream soup and soup of the season, which is included in the price of the complex. All soups cost approximately 30 rubles. The salad menu has recently been updated, and now visitors are offered a choice of five salads: vinaigrette, Greek and three types of Caesar, with chicken, shrimp and salmon.
The main course menu has also undergone some changes, recently adding lasagna and pasta with vegetables. Classic ham rolls, sandwiches and empanadas are still available during lunch for 40-50 rubles.
"Note!" In addition to classic lunch dishes, you can treat yourself to sweets from Shokoladnitsa. You can end your meal with dessert at an attractive price and any type of tea or coffee of your choice.
Result:
Overall, I was given a delicious meal, despite the fact that the prices are more affordable than the main menu. Cream soup for 5, Caesar salad for 4+, Pancakes 4+, Lemonade for 4. 530 rubles cost of business lunch . It was possible to save money, for example, not to take pancakes, it would cost about 400 rubles.
Tasty, quite expensive and quite cozy.

Children are loved and welcomed at Shokoladnitsa: stopping by the cafe on the occasion of an excellent grade or celebrating a child’s birthday is a wonderful idea that any child will enjoy.
A children's menu has been developed especially for young guests, which is prepared not by ordinary chefs, but by characters from their favorite cartoons. Thus, at one time, Pinocchio, Pokemon, Belka and Strelka participated in choosing the most delicious dishes for the most important visitors of the coffee shop, who, as a reward for eating lunch or dinner, gave stickers and even an astronaut’s ration if the parents were willing to pay 2,500 rubles for a visit to the cafe .
Prices for the children's menu are slightly lower, as the portions themselves are somewhat smaller. You can pamper your child at any time by ordering one of the dishes: soup, cheesecakes, dumplings, colored pasta, pancakes, berries with whipped cream and cakes. “Shokoladnitsa” can safely be called the keeper of ancient traditions: with the onset of special days, additions are made to the coffee shop menu specifically for people observing fasting.
The Lenten menu, according to tradition, consists of simple dishes: buckwheat with mushrooms, vinaigrette and Lenten borscht with soy cream. New dishes are added every year, such as spinach pasta or Asian noodles with vegetables.

There are many chocolate establishments in our country. “Shokoladnitsa” has more than 300 of its own cafes and a great many that are open as franchises.
Definitely, “Shokoladnitsa” has its own style in decoration: stripes, bronze, forging, dark textiles, leather armchairs and sofas. But the menu has the classic Russian variety: Caesar salad and Carbonara pasta next to pancakes, dumplings and borscht, cheesecake and bagel alongside cheesecakes and Napoleon cake.
However, it is difficult to choose something healthy: the composition of the dish is described extremely superficially, the calorie content is not indicated on the menu, and it was not possible to obtain detailed information about the dish from the waiter.
Guided by our own knowledge, we chose lean borscht (170 rubles), Mexican roll (230 rubles), raspberry and basil smoothie (220 rubles for 350 ml), as well as green tea with ginger (210 rubles). The waiter, noticing how preoccupied we looked, insistently began offering all sorts of desserts. Most likely, this is part of his job responsibilities, but even after the third refusal of “cheesecakes, or at least pancakes,” he did not come to his senses and, at every opportunity, persuaded him to treat himself to something sweet.
Surely, “Shokoladnitsa” has decent quality desserts, but in any case they are not suitable for a “healthy look”. But the raspberry basil smoothie is simply great.
Surely, this is all because sugar was generously added to it and polished with syrup, but let’s not talk about sad things. If the menu did not lie about the composition, then 350 ml of such a drink contains approximately 280 kcal. Green tea with ginger was no less generously seasoned with syrup and honey. It was delicious, to be sure, but calorie counting was difficult.
The borscht arrived first. The serving size is small, the vegetables are cut incredibly small - this makes them quicker to cook and the dish looks more satisfying.
The taste of the lean borscht from “Shokoladnitsa” is rich, full, and the vegetables are cooked as they should be, and not to a snotty state. We don’t know how well the composition of this soup matches what we found on the Internet, but we will assume that its calorie content was approximately 220 kcal (5 g of protein, 12 g of fat and 26 g of carbohydrates).
It's time for the rolls. The presentation was good, the flatbreads were beautifully fried and the smell of the food was very soulful. But when we looked inside, we were upset. They clearly saved money on the filling here.
The menu says that the roll contains “original sauce,” which reminded us of light mayonnaise. For our taste, the cook went too far with the cheese and spared the vegetables. The approximate calorie content is 460 kcal, but we cannot vouch for our calculations 100%.
Our result: there is practically nothing healthy in “Shokoladnitsa”. The portions are frankly small - a hungry adult man did not have enough soup, a sandwich and tea to fill himself up. At the same time, the price tag, while seemingly democratic, is not far behind establishments with much more refined and high-quality cuisine. In St. Petersburg, for that kind of money you can have a great lunch in some home cafe or popular gastropub, where the food will definitely be much tastier.

But this is not the limit. 100 g of hot chocolate contains almost a thousand more calories: 1334 kcal!
Interesting fact! Despite the high calorie content of sugar-sweetened drinks, coffee and hot chocolate have been shown to help improve memory. Ask the barista not to put sugar in the drink and enjoy a healthy treat without much harm to your figure.
How to calculate how many calories are in a latte
There is no single standard for a cocktail - it is made in different ways, in cups from 120 to 480 ml. Unlike cappuccino, for which the milk is heated and the foam is whipped, for “milk coffee” the entire portion is whipped, but not into such a tight foam, so it dissolves faster, leaving only a small head.
There are two cooking options:
- Classic – when foamed milk is poured into the espresso;
- Macchiato, when foam is first poured into a cup, followed by a thin stream of coffee.
The calorie content does not change depending on the method of preparation, so all calculation methods can be used to calculate the nutritional value of macchiato.
Coffee itself has almost zero nutritional value, 1-2 kcal. Large glasses usually contain a double or triple shot of espresso, 60 or 90 grams, which means there are a maximum of 2 “coffee” calories. For the convenience of calculations, this number can be neglected. It still won’t have any effect on the total daily caloric intake, even for a person who is obsessively watching his weight.
Typically, establishments and coffee shops use a product with 2.5% fat content, as the most standard and widespread. It is used to whip up foam, and for most customers this is the most familiar option to taste - not too watery, not too greasy on the tongue. And it is its quantity that determines how valuable the finished coffee cocktail will be from a nutritional point of view. 100 milliliters - 52 kcal.
