Before you press the treasured button on your gadget, find out a few nuances, without which the food will not turn out the way you expect it.

  • All types of pressure cookers are suitable for stewing: Panasonic, Redmond, Panasonic, Polaris and other representatives of kitchen appliances. The names of the modes may vary, but you will always find a suitable option for different cooking methods.
  • You can stew both fresh and sour cabbage. Or you can mix both types - it will also be very tasty. Or maybe you'll like stewed cauliflower?
  • There is also a wide field of activity for choosing meat. Add beef, pork, chicken or turkey. Add cold cuts, sausages, and smoked ribs.

Stewed cabbage in a slow cooker - a simple classic recipe

The easiest option for stewing cabbage as a side dish for meat and fish dishes.

Take:

  • White cabbage – 1 kg.
  • Onion.
  • Carrots - a couple.
  • Tomato paste – 2 large spoons.
  • Oil, pepper, salt.

How to put it out:

Chop the head of cabbage into any cuts - strips or pieces.

Coarsely grate the carrots and chop the onion into small cubes.

Pour oil into the bowl, set the “Frying” or “Baking” mode if your pressure cooker does not have what you need. Throw in the onion slices, after a couple of minutes add the carrots. Fry the vegetables until they become a nice color. This will take approximately 5-7 minutes. Do not forget that the vegetables must be stirred.

Add chopped cabbage to the bowl, turn the mode to “Stew”. Mix the ingredients and close the lid. Set the timer for 40 minutes - this is the total stewing time.

After 20 minutes from the start of cooking, add the tomato, add salt, and taste. If desired, you can add a little sugar. Be sure to splash a little water.

Continue simmering the dish for another 15 minutes.

How to properly stew cabbage in a saucepan

Some housewives do not know how to stew cabbage in a frying pan or saucepan so that it turns out soft and tasty. Here are some tips to use:

  • before stewing cabbage, you need to wash the forks, remove the hard leaves, then cut them, cut out the hard core and rinse again;
  • young cabbage should be stewed for 15 minutes, and more mature cabbage for at least half an hour and it is better to chop it as finely as possible;
  • so that the cabbage does not fry, but rather stews, you need to add a little water;
  • Spices play an important role in preparing cabbage, so anise, cumin and dill will not only add taste and aroma to the dish, but will also reduce the risk of gas formation in the intestines after eating the stewed vegetable. Apple cider vinegar will give the dish a sharp-sweet taste, but sauteed onions will add appetite;
  • cabbage is a self-sufficient vegetable, but not everyone can get enough of stewed cabbage alone, so it’s better to cook it with meat or other ingredients.

  • Meat – 500 gr.
  • Head of cabbage – 1 kg.
  • Carrots, onions - 1 pc.
  • Tomato sauce (Krasnodar) – 2-3 large spoons.
  • Water – 100 ml.
  • Pepper, sunflower oil, salt, dill.

Preparation:

  1. Chop winter varieties of cabbage finely, cut young cabbage larger into slices.
  2. Rinse a piece of meat, divide into medium pieces. Place in pressure cooker bowl.
  3. Turn on the “Fry” mode, fry, stirring constantly, until the pieces become golden brown.
  4. Add randomly chopped onions and carrots. Continue frying for a few minutes until you think it's enough.
  5. Add tomato sauce and stir. Add spices and seasonings if you like a spicy taste. Pour water.
  6. Toss the cabbage. Switch to the “Extinguishing” function, close the lid. Cook for 1 hour. About 10 minutes before the end, open the lid and stir the contents thoroughly. Taste the dish and adjust it for salt. Finish cooking.


With minced meat

You can stew cabbage not only with pieces of meat, but also with minced meat. This recipe is suitable for those housewives who want to quickly and tasty feed their family.

Ingredients:

  • 425 g minced meat;
  • 685 g cabbage;
  • onions and carrots;
  • 2 tomatoes;
  • spices, oil.

Preparation:

  • small head of cabbage - 1 pc.;
  • fresh carrots - 2 pcs.;
  • onion - 1 pc.;
  • tomato - 2 pcs.;
  • bell pepper - 1 pc.;
  • spices - to taste;
  • water - 0.5 cups.

Important! When preparing a dietary dish, it is advisable not to add salt.

The dish is prepared like this:

  1. The cabbage is chopped into thin strips.
  2. Peeled carrots are grated on the coarse side of a grater.

This original Greek dish is suitable for dietary, lenten and vegetarian meals. Lahanorizo ​​is very easy to prepare if you have the following ingredients:

  • short grain rice - 200 g;
  • onions and carrots - 1 pc.;
  • natural tomato juice - 0.5 tbsp.;
  • cabbage - 800 g;
  • sunflower oil - 2 tbsp. l.;
  • ground black pepper - 5-8 pcs.;
  • table salt - 0.5 tsp.

Important! If you want to prepare a more satisfying and non-vegetarian dish, add diced meat or chicken fillet to lahanorizo.

The step-by-step algorithm for preparing the dish is as follows:

  1. Vegetables are peeled and cut into small pieces.
  2. Pour sunflower oil into the multicooker container and lay out the onions and carrots. Vegetables are lightly fried. If the dish is prepared with meat, then it is also fried.
  3. Add shredded cabbage to the container and continue cooking in the “Frying”, “Baking” or “Multi-cook” mode for 10-15 minutes.
  4. After the specified time has passed, the remaining ingredients and pre-washed rice are added to the container, everything is poured with boiling water in an amount twice the amount of cereal.
  5. On the multicooker, set the “Stew” mode, and all that remains is to wait 40-50 minutes until the vegetables are ready.

The finished dish is served both hot, immediately after cooking, and cold - after cooling, stewed white cabbage with rice grains does not become less tasty.

To prepare the dish you need to stock up on the following ingredients:

  • chicken fillet - 500 g;
  • white cabbage - 1 kg;
  • carrots and onions - 100 g each;

Products are cooked at 90-95 degrees Celsius. They don't overcook or dry out. These are optimal conditions for the meat or vegetables that are being cooked to release more juice. If the food is not very juicy, you can add a little water.

  1. In this recipe, the main thing is to understand how to cook minced meat. The remaining steps are the same as in previous recipes.
  2. First, fry the chopped onion. After a few minutes of intense frying, add the minced meat. Continue frying, breaking the meat ball into small fractions. Use the "Fry" mode. The whole process will take approximately 10 minutes.
  3. Switch the program to “Extinguishing”. Add remaining components. Set the timer for 30 minutes and wait for the signal. This is not in the original recipe, but sometimes I add sour cream or serve it on the table in a separate bowl.

Sauerkraut stewed cabbage in a slow cooker
