Fasting day with milk: advantages of the technique, rules, menu options and recipes, results

Milk fasting days

We continue our topic about the benefits of fasting days, and after we have considered the options for fasting days on cereals, we suggest switching to similar schemes, but only on fermented milk products. And, although in fact, there are not so many such options for a fasting day - such schemes are very useful for our health, they help us cleanse our body, get rid of excess weight and feel light and free. And, as you know, in a healthy body there is a healthy mind. Therefore, we propose to go directly to the description of such schemes.

General rules

The practice of fasting days has been known in practical medicine for a very long time and is used for therapeutic purposes in obesity , cardiovascular and other diseases.
On this day, it is expected to limit the caloric content of the diet and consume one (maximum two) product in several doses during the day, which speeds up metabolic processes. You should not consume salt, sugar, and a sufficient amount of liquid is recommended. During this period, the digestive system is not overloaded, the function of the liver, stomach, intestines and kidneys is normalized. After festive feasts, unloading on one product will allow you to remove excess fluid from the body and feel relief. If you are overweight, fasting days 4 times a month (provided you eat properly on other days) will help you lose weight. After a few months, you can see positive results.

An option may be a milk fasting day if you love and tolerate milk well. Carbohydrates in it are represented by milk sugar - lactose , and some people may not digest it.

This is a rather tough option for protein unloading, but milk was chosen for a reason:

  • The calorie content of 100 g of 2.5% milk is 52 kcal. Drinking 1.5 liters per day, the body receives 780 kcal. Low-fat dairy products (considered as such up to 3.5%), having low calorie content, stop the feeling of hunger and satiate well.
  • This is a highly valuable food product containing more than 100 biologically important substances: complete proteins, fats, mineral salts (phosphorus, calcium, sodium, iron, potassium, sulfur), microelements (zinc, copper, iodine, fluorine, manganese), fat-soluble vitamins A , E , D , ascorbic acid , nicotinic acid , thiamine , riboflavin , phosphatides . The important thing is that they are in an easily digestible form.
  • In terms of chemical composition, it is a balanced source of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, 100 g of which contains: 3.5% proteins, 1-2.5% fats, 4.6% carbohydrates. Proteins are represented by albumin , casein , globulin and are easily digested by digestive enzymes. Milk fat is in the form of fat globules and is also easily digested.
  • Produces a mild diuretic effect.
  • Not contraindicated for gastrointestinal diseases: it has a gentle effect without irritating the mucous membrane of the stomach, intestines, erosions, ulcers, and eliminates heartburn .

Basic schemes, rules for milk unloading

Let's find out how you can arrange a one-day milk diet:

  • The most strict scheme involves the so-called milk fasting. During the day you can drink 6 glasses of milk, as well as the required amount of water. But this technique has too many side effects. In general, fasting has a rather negative effect on the body and disrupts metabolic processes.
  • With a gentle regimen, a person drinks a drink, as well as a selected low-calorie product. For example, you can include 600 grams of bananas in the menu.
  • It is allowed to do regular unloading, every 7 to 10 days.
  • The milk should be at room temperature. Don't drink it cold!
  • It is advisable to change the basic product of such fasting days at least once every three months. Then the technique is more effective.

Drinking regime is extremely important! About two liters of water should be drunk throughout the day to stimulate weight loss and normalize metabolic processes in the body.

Rules for unloading

  • Light meal the day before.
  • The exit from the fasting day should also be gradual.
  • Do not attempt a deload if you are sick, tired or not feeling well.
  • Do what you love on this day, relax or sleep, go into the kitchen as little as possible and look in the refrigerator.
  • Avoid heavy exercise and skip the gym, but you can visit the sauna or get a massage.

On this day you will need 1.5 liters of milk of medium fat content (1-2.5%), which must be divided into six doses. Since this is a liquid discharge, you do not need to drink any other liquid. It is more pleasant to drink milk slightly warm or at room temperature, but not cold. At night you can add a little natural honey.

If fasting on milk alone seems too strict for you, you can try other options. For example, you can diversify the taste of milk with green tea: bring 1.5 liters of milk to a boil, cool slightly and add 2 tablespoons of green tea. Leave for fifteen minutes, stirring occasionally. Drink in equal portions. Green tea adds flavor and acts as a diuretic.

With cottage cheese: take 500 g of both products and consume, alternating, five times. In this case, it is recommended to consume additional fluid. It can be green (herbal tea), table water.

With fruit: in addition to 1 liter of milk, the diet includes 3 bananas (or 500-600 g of apples). This fasting day will be satisfying. Considering that the average caloric content of a banana is 120 kcal, the total caloric content will be 920 kcal. Eating foods should be alternate, and at lunch you can combine them.

With rice (buckwheat): cook a glass of rice without salt and divide the porridge into 5 servings, pouring each with a glass of warm milk. You can drink tea and table water. You don’t need to cook buckwheat porridge, but pour boiling water over it in the evening (a glass of cereal - 2 cups of boiling water). This can be done in a thermos with a wide neck.

In the morning, divide the crumbly porridge into 5-6 servings. Eat, pour milk. The volume of milk is one liter. The cereal component, in addition to rice and buckwheat, can be represented by rye bread or whole grain bread in the amount of 100–150 g. These fasting days are filling, but the calorie content is also higher. From 1 cup of cereal you get 2 cups of crumbly porridge with a calorie content of 132 kcal per 100 g. You will get 528 kcal with buckwheat porridge and 520 with milk, for a total of 1048 kcal. With this unloading option, you need to drink liquid.

Having a positive infusion and following the recommendations, you can benefit from fasting days in the form of getting rid of fluid, improving your well-being and gaining lightness in the body. Fasting days should be carried out on a certain day of each week so that the body gets used to such nutrition.

Advantages and disadvantages

prosMinuses
  • It is not financially expensive because it contains one or two products.
  • Does not require any time as there is no need to cook.
  • Recommended for pregnant women as prescribed by a doctor.
  • Relatively easy to carry.
  • Can only be used for one day.
  • Contraindications: milk intolerance, allergy to milk proteins.

Advantages and disadvantages

Like any other product, milk also has its downsides. The main disadvantage is the fact that not everyone has problems with tolerating dairy products. Since it has a large amount of protein, some may experience allergies when consumed. Older people may lack a special enzyme that helps break down lactose. Without this enzyme, indigestion or other health discomfort may occur. People who do not have such health disadvantages can safely drink milk. Just remember that this is a very high-calorie product that quickly quenches thirst and hunger.

Fasting day with milk: reviews and results

The mono-diet should only be carried out for one day due to its imbalance. When taking fasting days, you need to constantly change their options so as not to harm your health. There is no need to hope that changes will occur in the body in a day. Any fasting cannot be a substitute for healthy eating on the remaining days of the week. Reviews indicate that the mistake of many is increased consumption of food after fasting and restoration of lost weight.

  • “... I couldn’t decide on fasting days: I was afraid and confident that I couldn’t stand it and would break down in the evening. But then I decided to go on an apple fast - I must say that it was difficult for me. The appetite was brutal. Next time I decided to have milk with black bread, and a week later with bananas (4 glasses of milk and three bananas). Both options went well. I can’t say that the weight loss was great, but I managed it easily and my stomach didn’t hurt (I suffer from gastritis with high acidity). But I didn’t stick to proper nutrition on the rest of the days, so the weight gradually gained and all my attempts to unload were reduced to zero.”
  • “... My sister recovered after giving birth and began doing fasting days against the backdrop of dietary restrictions. I did different unloadings, including milk. What I liked most was the combination of milk and cottage cheese - tasty, satisfying, well tolerated and healthy. A month later, I noticed that I began to gradually lose weight, although on the day of unloading it took 700 g, and the next day half was restored. I came to the conclusion that only constant, targeted healthy eating is the path to weight loss.”
