At first I tried to love my new body

The first attempts to put myself in order ended in failure. I started and quit, without seeing any results, and started again after a while. I tried to prove to myself and others that people think stereotypically, and you can be beautiful and curvy. That’s why I went to the television project “Model XL”.

I only got into the top thirty, but a few days behind the scenes were enough to understand the main thing: “I no longer want to be lush and luxurious, I will never accept myself and love myself like this.” Plus, for me, being overweight has always been a problem of health and weakness of character.

Supplements

With the help of supplements, I was able to manage my diet and exercise program. Diet, training, and supplements created the perfect combination that allowed me to achieve my fitness goals faster and easier.

Supplements do not constitute a diet. But if everything else is present and you follow through honestly, they can certainly help you achieve your goals.

Crucial moment

In July 2021, the “tipping point” arrived. I discovered myself to be an absolute body positive. Paradox. I looked at “women in bodies” with admiration; they seemed incredibly beautiful to me. Plus size models, overweight friends are goddesses. I couldn’t see in them what the “haters” were looking for and condemning; I wondered why someone might not like a full, full body. And I didn’t notice how I began to treat myself the same way. I weighed 100 kg again, but I dressed beautifully and saw a beautiful woman in the mirror. My husband was delighted and said that I was more beautiful than ever. I was “let go” and I stopped scolding myself. I began to admire myself. And at some point I realized: I just don’t want to eat so much. Now I don’t want this huge portion. I do not need it. The stress from not accepting myself is gone. I started taking care of myself. To sleep more. Allow yourself to rest and recover. Play sports (yoga, Pilates, Zumba). Stopped moving mountains. Armor was no longer needed. It was no longer armor, but just extra pounds. And in general: how “extra” are they? Who comes up with these rules? Then I already worked at Organic Woman, which helped me a lot. I read with interest articles about intermittent fasting and what it does to the cells of the body, metabolism and how it affects the body in general. And I remembered my “favorite” method as a student: don’t eat after 18.00. And I pushed breakfast back to 10 am. So that the interval between meals is 16 hours. It suited me. Surprisingly, I did not experience any suffering. At first, I completely gave up foods with sugar. So, interval, sports and lack of sugar in the diet. And the kilograms began to fly away. Evaporate. I decided that fanaticism in any business is dangerous and sometimes allowed myself “cheat meals.” On New Year's Day, I drank champagne and ate Olivier salad at one o'clock in the morning. Three days later I weighed another couple of kilograms less.

Now I have a new life

Now I don’t give up sports, I train regularly, but more for tone and health than to change my body. I have a loved one who supports me in everything, and I enjoy life. I can confidently say that you need to not give up, wish and wait, and the result, happiness and success will definitely come!

Did you have specific fitness goals at the beginning of your transformation?

I didn't have specific fitness goals at the beginning of my transformation. All I knew was that I was not happy with the way I looked and felt.

During the first five or six months of my new healthy lifestyle, I didn't notice all the changes that were happening in my body. Luckily, I mustered all the courage I had and my husband took a “before” photo of me. After about six months, I got him to take my photo again. When we compared the two photos, we sat in amazement at the changes that had taken place.

Now I take photos every month so I can see constant changes. Comparing photos is one of the best ways to track progress because clothing sizes and measurements don't always tell the whole truth. Once most of the excess weight was lost, small changes became much more noticeable in pictures.

Hannah spent her entire youth struggling with excess weight through an unhealthy lifestyle. She tried to suppress her appetite with coffee, wine and cigarettes in unimaginable quantities. Psychology - according to appetite

I kept within the limits for 6 years. My weight fluctuated between 62–68 kg. Of course, that initial “draconian” diet no longer existed. And that “cruelty” when guests not only brought sweets for tea with them, but then also took away everything they didn’t finish.

About a year after the scale confidently showed 65, I began to diversify my diet. And gradually I began to eat everything I wanted. Just a little bit.

Lifehack. Do without bread. Perhaps this is just my personal life hack, but it works for me. I could even eat a little bit of pastries and cakes, but not baked goods. For some reason, the thought was firmly stuck in my head that if I eat the first bun, I won’t stop. And yes, one more moment.

Lifehack. Keep an emotional food diary. I didn't count calories, but tracked my emotions. And I recorded which food particular feelings were pushing me towards. After some time of keeping my diary, I already knew for sure that out of anger I really wanted seeds. From love disappointment - a cake, the fattier the better. For resentment and loneliness - fresh white bread with a crispy crust.

I went even further. And I studied to be a psychologist. She defended her master's thesis on the mental characteristics of overweight and obese people. And she wrote a book in which she told everything about her weight loss. And she gave a lot of advice to those who have embarked or are about to embark on the path of slimness. Plus, I started working with overweight people as a psychologist. And my clients also began to lose weight.

Another life

As a result, in a little more than six months, from my 90+ there were 65 left. No pluses. And it was, of course, a completely different me. At that time I was 37 years old. And the last time I weighed this much was when I graduated from school. Of course, it was nice to move to another weight category. And wear 44-46 instead of sizes 52–54. But I didn’t expect that a healthy life would be different in other respects.
