calories per 100 grams of prepared food
It so happens that the favorite breakfast for many Russians is pancakes with cottage cheese. The calorie content of ready-made dishes is quite difficult to calculate, but in today's post we have solved this problem.
Why count calories?
Daily calorie intake that you need to know to control your weight, especially if you lead a sedentary lifestyle. So, for example, men in their prime who lead a moderately active lifestyle need only consume 2,400 calories per day, while women with the same settings can all be content with 2,200 calories per day. By knowing the limits of daily food intake, people will be able to maintain their body normal, and then do not exhaust yourself with strict diets. Therefore, even if it is a “heavy” dish such as pancakes with cottage cheese (calories that we will calculate), balance in the diet can be present on the tables by monitoring their weight.
Calorie content of traditional recipes using milk
Right now, we believe that counting calories counts as food, given the fact that it is prepared using traditional recipes. Start by making a complete list of ingredients, and then calculate the calories in 100 grams of prepared meals and the calories in one of the prepared pancakes. Here is a complete list of products that are included in a regular pancake with cottage cheese (calories are listed next to each ingredient):
- flour - 440 calories;
- Fresh eggs - 73 kcal;
- Sugar - 119 calories;
- Vegetable oil - 152 kcal;
- Butter - 150 calories.
Water, salt and baking soda, which is also included in cottage cheese pancakes (the calories we are counting now), have no calories. But cottage cheese can be different (from low-fat to full-fat) and have from 79 to 159 calories per 100 grams of product. Using simple calculations, we were able to determine that the calorie content in the finished dish when using cottage cheese is on average 220 calories per 100 grams of the finished dish.

We found that the calorie content of a pancake with cottage cheese is quite high. However, most of this is achieved by using vegetable oil in the pan and greasing the butter pancake in the package. Therefore, you should refrain from greasing the pan with oil and buy a good thin pancake maker with a non-stick PTFE coating, and the pancreas will thank you. You can also refuse to use milk in the dough in favor of yogurt or other fermented milk products, which have a much lower energy value . Very tasty whey pancakes. A pancake with cottage cheese prepared in this way (calories per 100 grams of finished dish) will not exceed 180 calories.
Of course, we do not put pancakes in water or clean them after baking with butter, but we believe that our information is largely useful for readers. To conclude our post today, we will provide a recipe for delicious and fluffy whey pancakes without using chicken egg dough.
Dough Recipe for pancakes with whey
So, we want to eat pancakes with cheese, reduce the number of calories so as not to damage the taste. To prepare the dough we will need the following ingredients:
- Whey - 1 liter;
- flour - 3.5 cups;
- granulated sugar-2 tbsp. L.;
- Vegetable oil-3 tbsp. L.;
- Salt– 1 teaspoon;
- Quick soda - 1 tsp.
Our grandmother started using this dough when she poured out the whey from making cottage cheese. The pancakes themselves are incredibly fluffy, with beautiful porous holes. However, these pancakes need to be baked in a cast iron frying pan.
Cooking method
The whey is heated to low in the microwave or in a saucepan over low heat. Mix dairy products with salt and sugar, stir. Add baking soda to the flour and fill the ingredients in parts, stirring with a fork so that small lumps do not form. Add vegetable oil and leave the dough for several hours. The consistency of the mass should be thicker than regular pancake dough mixed with milk and eggs. Fry in the same way as regular pancakes on both sides, only once, at the beginning of baking, greasing the pan.
