How to remove belly fat after childbirth using different types and techniques of massage

Do you want to get in shape after childbirth? Thanks to the achievements of modern medicine, this can be done quickly, effectively and without surgery. In the clinic of cosmetology and dermatology “BL” they restore the figure after childbirth using a unique innovative device Icoone Laser.

We use a complex “2 in 1” technique: MMAS stimulation and laser lipolysis. MMAS stimulation is a fractional vacuum effect on connective tissues, thanks to which skin cells and subcutaneous fat undergo real gymnastics. Already during the first procedure, collagen and elastin are produced in them. The elasticity and firmness of the skin improves, wrinkles and folds are smoothed out, and the skin is tightened.

The LED laser improves the permeability of cell membranes, opening temporary pores in them, and excess fat and fluid come out of the cells without harm to the body. Fat cells under laser influence are not destroyed, forming decay products, but decrease in size, metabolic processes in the cells are accelerated, due to which you do not gain weight for several months after the course of procedures, but lose weight, even without dieting.

Thanks to the vacuum effect and the massage effect using special rollers, the skin is tightened and excess fat is removed, as if after an intense workout. The difference is that you don't have to put in the effort. A cosmetologist and the Icoone Laser machine will do everything for you. The impact on problem areas is carried out at the cellular level, which allows you to get excellent results painlessly and quickly.

Treatment of hair loss after childbirth

During pregnancy, most women note that their hair becomes thicker, stronger and healthier, grows much longer than before, and practically stops falling out. This fact is associated with hormonal changes in the body during pregnancy and an extension of the hair growth phase.

However, after childbirth, usually at 3-5 months, there is a sharp onset of hair loss, sometimes leading young mothers to panic. Hair falls out in clumps. In order to prevent hair loss, women sometimes stop combing and washing their hair, but this does not bring results.

During this period, a woman can lose 20-40% of her hair. This behavior of hair is associated with a sharp one-time transition of all hair that did not fall out during pregnancy into the telogen phase (loss). Despite the scale of hair loss, this process is temporary, and the hair will be restored completely or almost completely, so young mothers just need to get through such a difficult period.

To smooth out the severity of hair loss, strengthen the roots, and also stimulate the growth of new ones, excellent results are achieved by procedures such as mesotherapy and plasma lifting of the scalp. Don't forget about vitamins, microelements, as well as medicated shampoos and lotions. Complex treatment is always more effective.

Rules for the massage procedure

Preliminary actions

The massage should begin:

  • from straight line;
  • zigzag;
  • wavy;
  • longitudinal;
  • transverse;
  • superficial;
  • deep stroking.

The main goal of the procedure is to achieve an optimal level of calm and relaxation of the body.

With the help of soft and rhythmic strokes, you can improve the process of cleansing the lymphatic vessels, stabilize the nervous system, increase the temperature in a certain area of the body, cleanse the skin of scales, sebaceous and sweat secretions, improve metabolism and increase the tone of the upper tissues. This is a natural way to relax the muscular system and reduce tissue swelling.

Rubbing method

They usually rub joints, tendons, ligaments, scars and adhesions. Massage is performed by displacing the underlying tissues. This is a deep impact technique aimed at eliminating swelling and increasing local blood circulation.

Result:

improved tissue energy consumption, pain relief.

Kneading technique

Such movements are considered basic in massage practice. We are talking about a deep impact on all major muscles. At the same time, their contractile properties are enhanced, and the ligamentous apparatus improves mobility.

Kneading enhances the circulation of lymph and blood, improves tissue nutrition, promotes the removal of metabolic residues, and relieves muscle tension.

"Shock" technique

Impact on the body using the technique of patting, tapping, sawing and chopping. “Strikes” are aimed at activating the nervous system, increasing blood flow to a specific area of the skin and reflex stimulation of the smooth muscles of internal organs.

Weight loss and figure restoration after childbirth

Pregnancy is often a risk factor for weight gain for women, which is associated both with hormonal changes in the body and with overeating and decreased physical activity. Some people manage to lose weight almost immediately after giving birth, but most young mothers face problems with excess weight after childbirth and during lactation. Normally, weight should be restored within 6-10 months after birth, subject to diet and healthy lifestyle.

If the weight continues to increase even after the end of lactation, then you should definitely contact an endocrinologist. Do not forget that pregnancy can serve as a trigger for the onset of many endocrine diseases that lead to weight gain. First of all, you should pay attention to thyroid hormones, sex hormones and adrenal hormones. Let us separately recall the increased risk of diabetes mellitus after childbirth, especially against the background of gestational diabetes.

Abdominal massage techniques

Most abdominal massage techniques after childbirth can be used independently at home. Dedicate only 10-15 minutes of your time a day to the procedure, but systematically, and the result will not be long in coming.

Follow a few simple rules:

  • massage will bring the greatest benefit in combination with physical activity and a balanced diet - do not abuse fatty, carbohydrate foods, limit sweets in your diet, do not eat after 18:00 and take walks every day;
  • if you feel unwell, it is better to postpone the next massage session until complete recovery;
  • massage can only be done on clean skin and if there is no damage to it;
  • The intestines and bladder must be emptied before the session.

Before using massage oils or other products, do not forget to do an allergy test: apply a little product to your wrist or elbow, wait half an hour. If there is no redness or rash at the application site, feel free to use the chosen cosmetics. If you observe any skin reaction (rash, itching, redness, swelling), do not use this product.

And now directly about the techniques of postpartum abdominal massage.

Manual (self-massage)

The massage is performed in the “lying on your back” position, legs slightly bent at the knees, feet on the floor, shoulder-width apart. Lie like this for a few minutes. Calm down, even out your breathing. Relax all muscle groups as much as possible, close your eyes, think about something pleasant. To begin with, repeat each massage movement 5-6 times.

Technique:

  1. Circular strokes. First, lightly stroke the abdomen in a clockwise motion. Gradually the strokes become more intense, but they should not cause painful sensations. Next, you perform all massage movements in a clockwise direction.
  2. Oblique strokes. Do it from the sides to the middle of the abdomen (navel) - first on the right, then on the left.
  3. Kneading. Rotational movements with fingers. From the lower abdomen on the right, slowly move up to the ribs. Then knead the upper abdomen in a circle to the left, and down the left side.
  4. Slip. Using your knuckles, pressing lightly, then harder (until the skin turns red), move along the abdomen from top to bottom.
  5. Indentation. Also, from top to bottom, press the stomach with your fingers folded into a triangle.
  6. Rolling. With the edge of your left palm, press on the stomach, and with your right hand, move the fat layer and intensively knead it.
  7. Nudge. With your left hand you press on the stomach, with your right hand you push the skin, and the fat layer underneath should move along with the skin.
  8. Sawing. Place your hands with your palms facing inward. Rub the skin of your abdomen, moving it forward with one edge of your palm and moving it back with the other.
  9. Relaxation. Light tapping and massaging with fingertips.
  10. Completion. Stroking, 5-6 times clockwise.

You don't need to put in a lot of effort, press hard or rub. It is necessary to adhere to the main rules of massage: increase the intensity of the procedures gradually, do not cause pain, do not leave mechanical damage on the skin - abrasions, scratches, bruises.

With honey

Honey massage combats excess volume, tightens the skin of the abdomen, opens pores, and activates the removal of waste products from the body through them. The duration of the procedure is no more than ten minutes.

When to start procedures to restore your figure after childbirth?

It is most rational to begin procedures at the end of the lactation period after complete restoration of hormonal levels. During breastfeeding, procedures such as manual or hardware massage are recommended, aimed at a tonic and lymphatic drainage effect. Active lipolytic procedures such as mesotherapy, acupuncture, ultrasonic liposuction and others are contraindicated during lactation. You should also be careful about wraps during breastfeeding, select and carry them out under the strict supervision of a doctor. The most popular procedure after childbirth is thermolifting of the body, which allows you to tighten the skin after childbirth and also has a pronounced anti-cellulite effect.

How to act so as not to harm

  • As a preparation, it is recommended to warm up the skin - this will make the massage more effective and prevent the appearance of bruises. A hot shower or bath is perfect for warming up, or an alternative is special kneading movements performed by a massage therapist.
  • All massage movements should be soft and light, not causing serious pain.
  • The appearance of bruises indicates an incorrect massage technique. Light hematomas may indicate high sensitivity of the skin and the close location of blood vessels under the skin, but they quickly disappear. Deep hematomas that do not go away for a long time are a signal that the massage needs to be stopped.
  • It is recommended to select a safe massage product/oil without a strong odor.

In addition, it is important to consider whether a woman has contraindications to anti-cellulite massage. These include:

  • any malignant tumors;
  • diseases of the circulatory system, thrombophlebitis, varicose veins;
  • skin diseases;
  • ARVI in the acute phase;
  • diseases of the endocrine system;
  • recovery period after cesarean section;
  • pregnancy;
  • epilepsy and other diseases of the central nervous system.

Massage should be performed with caution in case of disorders of the liver, kidneys, or cardiovascular system. Acceleration of metabolism and blood circulation can negatively affect the general condition due to increased stress on the body.

Treatment of stretch marks after childbirth

Stretch marks are the most common problem that reminds a woman of pregnancy for a long time, usually throughout her life. It has been noticed that young girls under 25 years of age are more susceptible to stretch marks compared to older mothers, and the likelihood of stretch marks appearing during the first pregnancy is much higher than during subsequent ones.

However, today there is a real opportunity to combat stretch marks. Procedures such as mesotherapy, biorevitalization, and thermolifting of the body should be carried out with fresh stretch marks to maximize the reduction of the skin between stretch marks and narrow the stretch marks. Since stretch marks are a type of atrophic scar, they can only be removed using a series of laser resurfacing procedures, the number of which depends primarily not on the length, but on the width of the stretch mark and the healing ability of the skin. Laser resurfacing is possible after the end of the lactation period and complete stabilization of weight.

The positive effect of massage on the female body

Gentle massaging movements can do wonders for the skin and general condition of a young mother, as well as her well-being.

  • Blood circulation is stimulated.
  • Fat deposits are broken down and removed.
  • Toxins, impurities and excess liquid come out.
  • Metabolic processes are normalized.
  • Turgor is leveled, the skin becomes even, smooth, and more elastic.

You can add other cosmetic procedures to the massage, which will make the fight against cellulite more effective and successful. For example, honey massage and seaweed wrap are allowed when breastfeeding. In order to improve the texture of the skin on the face, you can add facial massage using gentle methods.

Restoration of facial skin and treatment of pigmentation after childbirth

After childbirth, young mothers often pay attention to severe dry skin, decreased turgor, and the appearance of fine wrinkles. This is especially evident during lactation, which is associated with hormonal changes and vitamin deficiency. Therefore, the most common procedure after childbirth is biorevitalization with hyaluronic acid, which allows you to heal the skin and restore water balance. It is recommended to start treatment immediately after the end of the lactation period.

The second problem is hyperpigmentation (chloasma, “mask of pregnancy”), which usually occurs in the second trimester of pregnancy. The spots are most often localized on the forehead, around the lips, but can appear on any part of the face. The appearance of such spots is also associated with hormonal changes and increased photosensitivity during pregnancy. In some cases, pigmentation goes away on its own within six months to a year after birth, but in half of the cases it can persist for a long time. The most popular procedure that allows you to quickly and painlessly get rid of age spots is AFT therapy, which can be found in detail in the corresponding section. Treatment can begin already during lactation.

Please note a number of contraindications

Massage is not recommended if the following factors are present:

  • increased body temperature;
  • bleeding;
  • blood disease;
  • purulent process;
  • problems with skin, nails, hair;
  • acute inflammatory process in lymph and blood vessels;
  • thrombosis;
  • phlebeurysm;
  • allergies, skin rashes;
  • pathology, localized in the abdominal organs (with possible bleeding);
  • mental illness, excessive excitability;
  • a number of heart and lung diseases;
  • serious pathologies localized in internal organs.
  • acute respiratory infections;
  • impaired functionality of the gastrointestinal tract.

Note. Vomiting, nausea, and impaired bowel movements are also serious reasons for temporarily refusing massage treatments.

When can I start?

Yes, it is certainly useful and restorative - this massage after childbirth, but not all women know when it can be done.

But if a specialist doctor asks when it is possible to begin such manipulations, then an unambiguous answer will not be given. In a specific case, taking into account the process of delivery, the intensity and speed of recovery of the body, anatomical features and physical fitness of the body, the doctor will prescribe his own specific dates.

It can be unequivocally stated that if a woman does not have any health problems, and the process of pregnancy and childbirth went well, then massage after childbirth can be done after 2 months.

If there are concerns that lactation may decrease as a result of its implementation, then there is absolutely no need to worry about this. In the vast majority of cases, the amount of milk, on the contrary, increases due to increased blood microcirculation throughout the body if the technique used does not cause negative sensations.

Treatment of stage 1 disease

To speed up the rehabilitation process, it is recommended to simultaneously carry out a set of measures:

  • physiotherapy;
  • moderate physical activity;
  • nutrition correction.

Among physical procedures, abdominal massage is the most effective.

For diastasis, the specialist makes circular and longitudinal massaging movements in the affected area, using special oil or products with panthenol. As a result, the nutrition and tone of soft tissues improves, which stimulates tendon contraction.

Comprehensive restoration helps to get rid of the initial stage of pathology.

Causes and development of pathology

The disease develops as a result of increased load on the tendon frame of the abdominal wall. The reason may be various factors:

  • pregnancy and childbirth;
  • sudden changes in weight;
  • excessive power loads;
  • chronic diseases accompanied by frequent straining (constipation and cough).

It is worth noting that the contractility of connective tissue is quite low, which does not allow it to independently return to shape after severe stretching. As a result, the muscle fibers separate and the tendon structures lose their supporting properties.

The disease is manifested by external imperfections, more reminiscent of obesity than muscle pathology. The patient may also detect a longitudinal depression in the area of the white line.

In addition, the defect is complicated by characteristic symptoms:

  • back and lower back pain;
  • indigestion;
  • formation of umbilical hernias.

The easiest way to eliminate is stage 1, characterized by a muscle discrepancy of no more than 7 cm in width. In this case, correction is carried out with the help of exercise therapy, physiotherapy and a balanced diet.

If stage 2 (discrepancy from 8 to 10 cm) and stage 3 (more than 10 cm) are detected, only surgery will help.
