Permitted and prohibited products

During the Prana diet, the consumption of products of plant origin is allowed, with the exception of:

  • bananas,
  • corn,
  • starchy vegetables,
  • carrots,
  • grapes,
  • beets.

It is allowed to consume fermented milk and dairy products with a low fat content. You should not buy low-fat kefir, cottage cheese or milk. For complete absorption of animal proteins in these products, the presence of fats is required.

To lose weight, you should cook lean fish or meat. The use of nuts, berries, dried fruits, mushrooms, leafy and spicy herbs is allowed. In addition to protein shakes, you can use mineral water, green tea, freshly squeezed juices from vegetables, berries and fruits, homemade compotes, fruit drinks, herbal infusions as drinks.

The following foods are prohibited:

  • confectionery and flour products,
  • vegetable oil,
  • sausages, sausages,
  • ground spices, spices, salt, granulated sugar,
  • sweet and carbonated drinks,
  • fatty, smoked, fried, spicy, pickled foods.

How to quit a diet: general principles

Exiting a diet will depend on the type of diet previously chosen, however, there are several general principles observed when exiting any diet, namely:

1. The amount of vegetables and fruits consumed should be gradually increased in the diet, preferably boiled with a gradual transition to raw;

2. Gradually adding (if the diet was prohibited) or increasing the consumption of lean meats and fish;

3. For two weeks, you need to add 200 kcal of fats and carbohydrates to your daily diet in the form of dark chocolate, whole grain bread and fruits (avocados and grapes);

4. Playing sports with a gradual increase in training intensity. It is important, after the diet is completed, not to overload the already weakened body with heavy physical activity. It is necessary to gradually, week by week, increase the number and intensity of training, and you can start with simple walking, cycling or yoga;

5. Drinking at least two liters of water daily, taking into account the fact that this number only includes herbal tea, freshly squeezed juices and pure water, other drinks do not count;

6. It is also important when leaving the diet to take multivitamin complexes, which will help the body recover faster and supply it with the necessary nutrients;

7. It is necessary to eat in a concentrated state, it is advisable to exclude watching TV, reading books or newspapers, as well as conducting conversations. Only in this way will it become clear when the body is full, and this will save it from overeating;

8. Meals should be 5 or 6 times a day and in small portions, as this will help the stomach more easily digest the food received;

9. It is forbidden to eat later than 3-4 hours before bedtime. In cases where there is a feeling of hunger, it is better to eat some dried fruits or oatmeal cooked in water;

10. The period for leaving the diet should not exceed two weeks, after which it is necessary to completely switch to a healthy and proper diet.

How to get out of the diet: buckwheat diet

After the two-week buckwheat diet is completed, on the first day of leaving the diet for breakfast, you need to replace your favorite porridge with low-fat yogurt with an apple or orange. The remaining meals on the same day should still consist of buckwheat. On the second day, instead of yogurt, you can eat 50 g of low-fat cheese, and low-fat yogurt can be a second breakfast. So time after time, day after day, dairy products, eggs of various methods of preparation, fruits, vegetables, and then fish and meat are introduced into the daily diet. After a week, the exit from the diet ends, and previously favorite foods can be gradually introduced into the daily diet, but within reason, otherwise the lost weight will definitely return.
