A course of self-massage will help fight excess weight and cellulite: flax extract is applied to the skin and rubbed in with light massaging movements. It is recommended to use at the end of the day, when the body is preparing for sleep. After the massage, a warm shower or bath with soothing extracts, such as lavender or chamomile, is indicated.

Contraindications for use

Obvious contraindications are, first of all, pathologies of the stomach and intestines. It is not recommended to use this product for weight loss:

  • For gastritis.
  • Colitis.
  • Enterocolitis.
  • Peptic ulcer with hyperacid etiology.

Therefore, before drinking flaxseed oil for weight loss, you need to know what not to do and how much of the product you can drink.

The amount of the drug used is important for blood clotting disorders: you need to drink flaxseed oil only when you know how much you can take.

A common question is whether pregnant women can drink flaxseed oil. Pregnancy is a period when you need to avoid spastic contractions of the peritoneum, especially in the first and last trimester. Such contractions can lead to termination of pregnancy (miscarriage).

Another equally frequent question is whether a nursing mother can drink flaxseed oil. It is allowed to use a very limited amount of the product during lactation if the baby’s body normally accepts lactated breast milk. If the baby does not have a tummy ache and does not show anxiety after eating. In fact, the baby himself tells the nursing mother with his condition whether he can drink or not.

People are interested in the result of mixing different fats - for example, is it possible to drink flaxseed oil and fish oil at the same time. In this case, diarrhea will develop, nausea and vomiting, and colic are possible.

External use of oil to improve the figure (and body skin)

Flax seed oil is used not only for nutrition. You can find different ways to use oil for external purposes - as wraps, scrubs and massages. The oil combines well with various essential oils. You can use any suitable one - orange, grapefruit, lemon, bergamot.

The peculiarity of external use of the oil is that it is quite light and therefore does not leave a dense residue on the skin. But for a massage or wrap, you should take a denser oil (for example, olive) as a base, and add linseed oil to it.

Wraps

How to do it correctly:

  1. Combine half a glass of olive oil with two tablespoons of flaxseed oil, then add a few drops of essential oil. Heat the mixture slightly (preferably in a microwave or water bath) to a pleasant body temperature.
  2. Apply to problem areas (hips, buttocks, stomach), wrap in cling film. Lie in this state for an hour under a warm blanket, avoiding cooling from drafts.
  3. rinse with warm water and apply anti-cellulite cream.
  4. You can add a little honey to this wrap.

This procedure should be done no more than twice a week. Course – 10 procedures.

Flax oil scrub

You can try a recipe based on honey, with the addition of sea salt (a tablespoon) and flaxseed oil (a tablespoon). After applying to a steamed body (after a bath, sauna, hot shower), vigorously rub problem areas. Leave on the body for a few minutes. Rinse off and apply cream.

Coffee flax scrub

Recipe based on coffee (natural, not instant). Mix the dried coffee grounds with flax oil and add essential oils drop by drop. You can thicken the mixture by adding olive oil. The scrub is used 2 times a week, the course is 2 months.

Instead of coffee, you can experiment with ground oatmeal, finely ground apricot or grape seeds.

Massages using flax oil

You can also use flaxseed oil in combination with massage. To do this, you should adhere to the following recommendations:

  1. In a massage with linseed oil, it is worth adding heavier oil, preferably olive oil, for density.
  2. For a faster effect, you should add honey. The massage is performed with sharp patting movements until waste processes (sticky gray mass) are released.
  3. Another way is a classic massage based on linseed oil and anti-cellulite cream. The best effect is obtained if you use plastic massage jars for massage. Very painful, but very effective.
  4. To enhance the effect after a cupping massage, you can wipe off the oil and cream from the skin and apply a new layer of this mixture, wrap yourself in film and lie there for another hour or two. Then rinse everything off with warm water. Cupping massage carried out in a course is the best way to combat cellulite.

Hot compress based on flaxseed oil and red pepper

The compress warms up very strongly and accelerates metabolism. Important addition: do not use under any circumstances for gynecological diseases or inflammatory processes.

You need to mix 1/4 cup of flaxseed oil, 2 tablespoons of honey, a few drops of orange essential oil. Mix everything and add ground red pepper. Take no more than 1/2 teaspoon of pepper.

After scrubbing the problem areas, apply the mixture and wrap with cling film. Keep depending on how you feel from 15 minutes to half an hour. After the procedure, wash off the compress and lubricate the skin with moisturizer.

Oil based recipes

And if you don’t want to take the oil in its natural form, add it to food, using it in different culinary variations. Try these, for example.

No. 1 - Curd and flax mayonnaise

Take one hundred grams of fresh cottage cheese, grind until smooth, add one tablespoon of flaxseed oil (can be mixed with olive oil) and a tablespoon of kefir (ryazhenka, yogurt). The result will be a sauce similar to mayonnaise. This dressing can be added to any salads with vegetables. For example, with cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet peppers, beets and carrots. To enhance the taste, you can add garlic, hot pepper, and aromatic herbs.

No. 2 – Fruit and berry curd cream

Mix one hundred grams of cottage cheese with a spoonful of kefir and flaxseed oil, mix well. Add a little honey (no more than a teaspoon) and a variety of fruits and/or berries (banana, strawberries, raspberries). Berries can be either fresh or frozen. In addition, you can add muesli.

No. 3 – Spicy salad dressing with linseed oil

Mix the prepared mustard (a teaspoon or a tablespoon, to taste) with a couple of tablespoons of linseed oil. Pour in a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. If desired, you can sweeten with honey (or for spiciness - pepper, salt, garlic). This dressing can be used in any dishes, for example, with potatoes - in salads (vinaigrettes), and also added to sauerkraut.

Results and reviews of the flax diet

The method of losing weight by normalizing the digestive system and cleansing the intestines with flax seeds, flaxseed flour and oil from this product is quite common and popular in the post-Soviet countries. Numerous reviews position the flax diet as a cheap, practically harmless, quite effective and easy way to get rid of 1-2 extra pounds per week. In addition, many women following any of the flax diets noted some rejuvenating effect of this diet, which consisted in improving the appearance of the skin and strengthening the structure of nails and hair.

The daily menu of each type of flax diet is completely balanced and nutritious, and therefore the weight loss course is usually tolerated painlessly, without uncontrollable attacks of hunger and often subsequent breakdowns. The exit from such diets is also quite smooth and represents a gradual transition to a normal diet with a gradual reduction in flax products in the diet.

The most ardent opponents of the flax diet are people who want to get rid of as many kilograms as possible in the shortest period of time, for whom the process of losing weight on flax seems too long and ineffective. For other people, such a diet, due to individual preferences or characteristics of the body, simply was not suitable, after all, and a universal dietary regimen has not yet been invented.

All types of flax diet, except for the fasting regime in which flax porridge becomes the only food consumed for 3 days, should include products that contribute to the process of weight loss.

The first place in the list of such food products is occupied by low-fat fermented milk drinks (yogurt, kefir), cottage cheese, milk and various yoghurts, both in pure form and with the addition of pieces of fruit.
