Dietary curd pudding is a delicious delicacy and a great way to diversify your everyday menu with a healthy and easy-to-prepare dessert that will not harm your figure.

Curd pudding can be included in the diet for various diets, since its calorie content is only 170 kcal per 100 g of product. The main thing is to choose the right cottage cheese: for a dietary recipe, it should be low-fat, fresh in taste, soft and non-sour. Sugar can be replaced with fructose or another sweetener.

Pudding on a diet: benefits and harms when losing weight

Sweet puddings are the most popular, but the diet menu also includes low-fat options made from fish or meat. The calorie content of the prepared pudding is low - the exact number depends on the ingredients used, the amount of sugar, etc. Thanks to its delicate, uniform texture, the dish is an optimal option for dietary nutrition, the diet of children, the elderly and patients with a weak digestive system.

Light pudding can improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract and “start” the intestines. This dessert is an ideal option for those who suffer from gastritis or ulcers. For these diseases, the body needs thoroughly ground food with a creamy texture, so the pudding form is perfect.

The harm from this dish is conditional. It is only possible if you are allergic to a specific ingredient. Individual intolerance to any ingredient can provoke nausea, difficulty breathing, and a state of intoxication. With careful selection of products, the dessert itself is completely safe for health, and a gentle cooking method helps preserve all the beneficial characteristics of the products.

Note! The controversial ingredient in puddings is sugar. It is especially added to industrial desserts. In dietary home recipes, it should be replaced with natural options (honey, sweet fruits) or special sweeteners with a minimum amount of calories.

Diet puddings

Pudding is a traditional English dessert that has been one of the main dishes on the Christmas table for many centuries. Initially, it was prepared in a water bath from milk, sugar, eggs and flour. There was also a savory version, based on meat broth. Today, there are hundreds of pudding recipes – different countries have their own characteristics and cooking secrets.

Pudding has much in common with casserole, but differs from it in its special silkiness. To achieve this effect, milk or starch (and often both components) is used, and all ingredients are brought to the most homogeneous state. When preparing low-calorie pudding, special attention should be paid to this point, since dietary recipes do not contain heavy cream or butter.

Recommendations to help housewives

  1. It is better to prepare any pudding a little in advance. So that it has time to brew, so that all the flavors combine and play;
  2. Low fat milk is more suitable for puddings. Then this English dessert will have a very soft creamy taste;
  3. You cannot add a large amount of raisins, fruits or candied fruits to the “dough”, it will not rise, and the appearance will be hopelessly spoiled;
  4. Under no circumstances should you open the oven while the pudding is baking. He will fall;
  5. The smoother the “dough” is, the better the dessert will turn out.

Cooking curd puddings in the oven is a pleasure. The ability to play with ingredients opens up an endless field for experimentation. Puddings can be prepared sweet and served as a dessert, or they can be prepared without a sweet component, as an addition to meat or fish.

Cooking methods: in the oven, slow cooker

Classic pudding should be baked in a small pan, pre-greased. In this case, the form does not need to be filled to the brim - in the oven the dessert will increase in volume and become more fluffy. The best option is to fill out the form to 1/2, 2/3 of the total volume, but no more. If there is not enough space, the mass may simply leak out during the cooking process, which will negatively affect the appearance of the dish. Baking the pudding should take place at a temperature of about 180°C for 30-40 minutes.

Once placed in the oven, “forget” about the dish for the entire cooking time. Do not open the oven door or make noise - otherwise the pudding will lose its shape and settle.

To determine readiness, watch the dessert through the glass. If the pudding has risen well and its edges are already behind the sides of the chosen shape, the dish can be removed. The pudding is best baked in a pan with a hole in the middle - such containers are also used for making large muffins.

In a multicooker, any pudding must be cooked in the “Baking” program; the standard time is 50-60 minutes. After the end of the program, you should not immediately take out dessert. The dish should gradually cool in a warm form over an hour. When cool, the pudding can be taken out and prepared for serving.

Puddings can also be steamed (in a slow cooker or double boiler), or in the microwave. The thermal exposure time will depend on the power of the specific device and the size of the pudding. The fastest way to prepare small portions of dessert, 100-150 grams each, in individual molds.

Pumpkin

Pumpkin pudding can easily replace sweet and high-calorie pies. Its simple ingredients and quick preparation plan make it a versatile treat. For cooking you will need:

Bake the dessert in a preheated oven until golden brown (about 30-40 minutes).

Note! If the pumpkin and apples used are sweet enough, the amount of honey in the recipe can be reduced (this will help reduce the overall calorie content).

  • cottage cheese – 100 grams;
  • egg – 1 pc.;
