Talkan - what it is, benefits and harms, recipes and reviews of use

Quite recently I became acquainted with a very interesting and new product for myself - talkan.

I used to see talkan on the shelves of health food stores and was sure that it was porridge. Probably because the packaging is like porridge or because the composition is identical to porridge - barley, oats, wheat. Although, identical - it only seems at first glance.

Talkan is much healthier than porridge, since, for example, oat talkan contains not just oat flakes, but sprouted oat grains, and wheat talkan contains sprouted wheat grains.

What is talkan

Cereals have high nutritional value and many delicious, healthy dishes are prepared from them. The popular talkan is a product made from sprouted grains of barley, oats, and wheat, which are ground to flour and used to prepare porridge, drinks, and other dishes.

The product "Talkan" has excellent taste and beneficial properties, thanks to the sprouted grains that are included in the composition. The original component of the product was barley, known as the main crop in Altai settlements even before the 19th century. In Khakassia, barley was called talkan and they learned to cook hearty, light dishes based on it.

Kinds

Sprouted grains are the basis for preparing talkan.
Depending on what kind of grain talkan is made from, it can be of different types. Each of them will be useful both for weight loss and for health in general.

  • Wheat (324 kcal)

It should be chosen for weight loss by those whose activities require intellectual stress, as it improves mental abilities. It is also recommended for regular use by people who are predisposed to diabetes mellitus (a disease that contributes to weight gain).

  • Barley (298 kcal)

The best in terms of normalizing digestion and detoxification. You need to cleanse your body of toxins, remove all garbage and put your intestines in order - this is your choice. Recommended primarily for women (strengthens hair and nails) and people over 60 years of age (combats age-related changes).

  • Oatmeal (303 kcal)

Suitable for weight loss for those who have high cholesterol levels and irregular heart rhythms. The amino acid composition of oat protein is similar to the composition of proteins in human muscles, so during intense sports, this type of talkan will help them recover faster and achieve their dream figure.

  • Rye (287 kcal)

It increases physical and mental performance, so that when losing weight with its active use, fatigue will be felt less.

According to reviews, the tastiest dishes are made from wheat talkan. But it has the highest calorie content. Experienced people recommend choosing rye for weight loss.

This is interesting. Since talkan is made from sprouted grains, it is often called “live food”.

The benefits and harms of talkan

What are the benefits and harms of talkan? Cereal dishes are rich in fiber and dietary fiber, so their intake is recommended to improve digestion. Vegetable protein, contained in large quantities in cereals, is better absorbed by the body than animal protein, and microelements and vitamins help restore wasted energy and maintain health. The use of sprouted grains is useful, because the nutrients contained in them acquire a biologically accessible form: amino acids are formed from proteins, glucose from starch.

The use of this healing flour helps solve not only digestive problems, but also improves the condition of the skin, nails, and hair. Its use helps to effectively cleanse the intestines, remove toxins, rejuvenating the body. Therefore, “Talkan” is recommended both for dietary, medical nutrition, and everyday consumption by people leading an active lifestyle.

The potassium contained in flour improves the functioning of the heart and cardiovascular system, normalizes blood composition, helps remove salts from the body, and dissolve cholesterol plaques. People with allergies should use the product with caution; it is better to try sprouted grain flour in small portions. Flour contains a large amount of fiber, so consuming dishes made from it can cause flatulence. It is worth refraining from taking the product if there is an exacerbation of stomach diseases.

Talkan barley

The benefit of barley talkan is that the prepared decoction contains a lot of mucus, which envelops the stomach and intestines, protecting against irritation. Lysine and vitamin B3 contained in barley have an excellent effect on the skin, participating in the metabolism of fats, proteins, amino acids, purines, and tissue respiration. Women appreciated this, especially since the beneficial properties of barley are manifested in regulating the menstrual cycle, reducing the negative manifestations of menopause, and losing weight.

Wheat talkan

No less popular is wheat talkan, which looks like ordinary cereal. Sprouted wheat is a recognized champion in the content of vitamin E, so the product is indispensable for diseases associated with metabolism, including obesity. Often wheat porridge from sprouted grains is produced with seasonings - cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, which not only improves its taste, but also increases its beneficial functions. The high content of vitamin B contributes to the proper functioning of the nervous system.

Benefit for health

During germination, complex biochemical processes occur in grain. Heat and water activate the activity of plant enzymes. With their help, nutrients are converted into an easily digestible form.

Key elements in the talkan composition:

  • boron and phosphorus improve brain function;
  • potassium normalizes heart function and lowers blood pressure;
  • iron increases hemoglobin levels, prevents the development of anemia;
  • vitamin C activates the immune system;
  • vitamin E slows down the aging process, strengthens nails, hair and restores the functioning of the reproductive system;
  • fiber stimulates the digestive system and cleanses the intestines.

Talkan dishes improve metabolism, having a beneficial effect on the body as a whole.

For women

Talkan has a positive effect on the functioning of the female reproductive system.

Thanks to plant analogues of hormones that appear in grain as a result of germination, wheat or oat talkan is suitable for the prevention and treatment of hormone-dependent diseases of the mammary glands and uterus, and infertility.

The usefulness of talkan for pregnant and nursing mothers is ensured by its active components. They promote the synthesis of hemoglobin, thereby preventing anemia, activate the immune system, and normalize the functions of the digestive tract.
