Carrot juice and carrots themselves can affect skin tone, making it yellowish , especially on the feet and palms, due to excess carotene in the body. This side effect of eating carrots in most cases occurs in children, because their liver is not able to fully remove it from the body.

If your skin tone changes when you eat carrots, you should completely eliminate them from your diet. After 2-3 days, your skin tone will return to normal.

Apple salad with cashew nuts

We thoroughly wash and scrape the root vegetable; peeling is not recommended, because the most useful top layer of this fruit, if you peel it with a knife, there will be little left of usefulness.

Take one medium root vegetable, one apple, a handful of cashews, a spoonful of lemon juice or a spoonful of cream.

Three carrots on a fine grater, an apple on a coarse grater, grind the nuts in a blender. Mix and pour over lemon juice.

Beetroot salad

  • 2 medium carrots,
  • 1 medium beet,
  • 50 grams of walnuts,

Carrot and cabbage salad

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil, unrefined.

Chop the cabbage finely and thinly, mash it, add salt, add grated carrots and a handful of finely chopped turnip onions. Add oil, pepper to taste and mix. If you used green onions for the salad, sprinkle on top when serving.

Side effects

When consuming a large amount of this vegetable, yellowing of the skin is observed. At the first sign of a change in skin tone, stop eating carrots and within a few days your skin color will return to normal.

This tasty dish is especially popular among those who want to become slim, because its calorie content does not exceed 110 kcal per 100 grams. It is prepared without flour, based on protein products. For preparation you will need:

  • 100 g carrots;
  • 2 eggs ;
  • 3 tbsp. l kefir;
  • 250 grams of cottage cheese;
  • 2 tbsp. l honey / sweetener.

Preparation:

  1. The first step is to thoroughly chop the vegetables to a mushy state. This can be done using the smallest grater or blender.
  2. Next, combine and mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
  3. The curd mass is laid out in a mold or small molds.
  4. The dish goes into the oven for half an hour at 180 degrees. Time may vary depending on oven specifications. Therefore, you need to periodically check the casserole and remove it if a golden crust forms.
  5. The dish is ready! It is usually eaten with unsweetened yogurt, honey or other sauce allowed by the diet.

Vegetable puree soup

When preparing this dish, it is important to remember that in order for it to be dietary and to be consumed while losing weight, carrots and other vegetables should not be fried. For preparation you will need:

  • 200 grams of carrots;
  • 100 grams of lentils;
  • 25 grams of ginger;
  • 50 grams of celery;
  • 1 onion;
  • 2 tomatoes;
  • salt, pepper - to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Place chopped vegetables and lentils in the bottom of a large, thick-bottomed pan.
  2. The products must be filled with water so that there is about 5 cm of liquid above them.
  3. The soup needs to be boiled for about 20-30 minutes, then add ginger and spices to it.
