A.B.: Only meat, no potatoes? A.V.: Only products that do not contain coarse fiber and starch can be a side dish for meat: greens, cucumbers, olives, sweet peppers. In addition, I recommend going without protein every third day to give your bloodstream cleansing system a rest. You should absolutely not eat fruit at night - this is sugar that will begin to ferment.

A.B.: Meat, of course, should be lean? A.V.: Don’t forget that a person cannot live without fats. The energy supply of the lungs is fat: it is necessary to warm the air that we inhale and maintain a constant temperature. Hormones are fat, cell membrane is fat. If there is not enough fat, the body begins to produce it from carbohydrates, which is not very good, because for such processing a force majeure mechanism is activated.

A.B.: And where to get fat? A.V.: Take sunflower oil, add onions and crumble black bread into it - it’s both tasty and healthy. When you need animal fats, cook soups. Freeze pork, chicken, and duck fat, grate it and add a tablespoon to the soup. And, of course, high-quality butter.

A.B.: What cooking methods are the most useful? A.V.: First of all, this is an open fire. Fire-processed foods are easier to digest. Then steam, oven, pickles - if the only preservative is salt - air drying. And finally, cooking.

A.B.: What to do if you want something sweet? A.V.: Craving for sweets is a symptom of thirst. And you need to quench it with clean water, not tea, coffee or fruit juices. Juices, in general, are an insidious thing: they weaken, consume water and, as a result, dehydrate the bloodstream.

A.B.: How difficult is it to change your eating habits and how quickly will the results appear? A.V.: It’s not difficult if you act intelligently. Try starting with water and you will see that within a few days the craving for chips and candy will disappear. The results can appear very quickly. After all, we consume the external environment in two ways – with the stomach and the head. Most of our problems are congestion on these paths, something like heavy traffic on the road. It is enough to unload one of them, and you will feel much better.

A.B.: And slimmer? A.V.: Absolutely. Excess weight is not fat as such, it is protein, which, due to a lack of water, cannot be removed from the body and therefore turns into fat. Drinking enough water and smart eating habits will solve this problem. And, of course, you don’t need to overeat. We consume more food than the body needs, not out of greed, but simply because we mistake ordinary thirst for hunger. When you feel hungry, drink a glass of water and walk for ten minutes. Most likely, the desire to eat will dissipate.

A.B.: And if not? A.V.: Then be sure to eat. A person should not live from hand to mouth, this is not normal. Our body is complex and wise; its nature is not self-destruction, but self-healing and self-regulation. This is an amazing mechanism that can function for a long time and efficiently if we provide it with everything it needs and get rid of the unnecessary. Agree, this is not such a difficult task.
