- Fasting for one day.
Dry fasting is one of the most difficult methods of voluntarily giving up food and water. To carry out it, it is important not only to correctly enter the system, but to exit it, returning to your usual diet. If you do not follow the recommendations, you can seriously harm the body, disrupting the functioning of many organs and systems.
The way out of dry fasting is an opportunity to consolidate the results of the technique, cope with many unpleasant ailments and finally get rid of extra pounds. In this article you will learn how to end fasting correctly so as not to harm yourself further.
What is the essence of dry fasting?
The technique involves abstaining not only from food, but also from any liquids. Some systems in this category additionally recommend avoiding contact with water: brushing teeth, swimming, walking in the rain. What is it for? When the body is deprived of nutrition, it begins to work in autonomous mode, spending internal resources on solving existing problems.
Thus, by following simple rules, you can cope with the following ailments:
- Oncological diseases.
- Diseases of the cardiovascular system.
- Diabetes.
- Autoimmune diseases.
- Psychical deviations.
Interesting fact. Fasting is a serious stress for the body. Due to insufficient water and food, cells with toxic substances cannot be protected from healthy organs. If they enter the blood in excess, they often cause damage to some internal systems. Not only the correct input, but also the output helps prepare the body for the upcoming changes.
Dry fasting techniques
Many methods of dry fasting have been developed, which have found confirmation of their effectiveness, enormous benefits and good results in practice according to people's reviews. Fasting according to Shchennikov is patented as a healing abstinence. It involves a diet lasting 7,9 and 11 days.
The main feature is a positive attitude and plenty of strength when the body does not experience stress and shock. Before the start, days are allotted for preparation. At this time, they eat raw vegetables (carrots, pumpkin, cucumbers, tomatoes), give enemas to rid the body of contaminated waste, or drink laxatives. This must be done strictly according to the instructions. Cleansing the body is a serious and important stage; the course of a 36-hour fast depends on its implementation.
For the first time, it is better to fast for 5 to 7 days, and for subsequent periods – 11 days. The first three days exclude absolutely any contact with water, and then water procedures are allowed. The main feature is to remain awake at night. The time for sleep is from 6 to 10 am. Then until 13:00 they walk in the fresh air, the next two hours are devoted to mental activity. You can play board games, chess, checkers, work on the computer, study homework with your child, read books, solve crossword puzzles.

Until 18:00 they do fitness, gymnastics, and set aside time for evening relaxation from 6 pm to 22:00. They spend the whole night being active and walking. The way out of hunger is simple. First, drink purified water in small sips, and a few hours later eat a light vegetable salad with a minimum amount of ingredients. Then you can eat vegetables and fruits.
Famine according to Filonov
Dry hunger according to Filonov. This is a fractional or gradual refusal of food and water. Courses last for 5-7, 7-9 and 9-11 days. The first cycle of fasting lasts as long as a person is able to withstand. Then you can contact with water for 2 days. The second faction is in full force. The third period is indicated for those who are overweight.
Dry fasting according to Lavrova means complete fasting for five days. Any contact with water is excluded. The fasting cleansing method from Anna Yakuba, a popular raw food and diet specialist, means abstaining from food for a day or 3 days once a week. Repeat every 7 days and wait for such a state that you want to starve, and the body longs for the approaching “empty” days. This period sometimes occurs after 3 or 4 months.
Dry fasting according to the Goltis method means the same period, which falls on three stages of the procedure. All fasting is divided into the preparatory process, the refusal of food and liquid itself, and the time of exit from the full diet. The total duration lasts from 1 to 7 days, for the first time it is better to start with 3 days. When fasting, a person should not reduce physical activity; movement is necessary.
Preparation involves taking raw vegetables and juices. Every day they do cleansing enemas or take laxative medications. During the period of refusal of food, enemas are continued. During exit, they eat the same way as at the time of preparation, with the exception of giving an enema.
In the morning, it is necessary to clean off the white coating from the tongue. The creator of the methodology offers the following technology options:
- at first 3 days a month;
- 7 days per quarter;
- one day of no food and water, 1 day of exit, 3 days of fasting and 7 days of exit;
- a week of preparation for the diet, 3 days of fasting, up to 2 weeks off.
Basic rules and recommendations
The period of recovery from fasting, as a rule, is twice as long as the process of giving up food itself. If the fast lasted a week, then it takes 14 days to finish the system. But there are exceptions depending on the output products. In this case, it is important to adhere to absolutely all recommendations given by the doctor.
Depending on the type of hunger strike, different options for exiting it have been worked out.
Exit from dry fasting
The process of breaking out of dry fasting is no less important. The time to end dry fasting should be equal to the time of fasting itself. Since we are basically talking about a 36-hour dry fast, the withdrawal time should be 24 or 36 hours. In practice, it looks like this: during the day you do not take any food, the next day for another 12 hours you continue to abstain from food and drink, and only in the evening, after this time, you can start going out.
It is better to start exiting dry fasting by drinking a small amount of water, and then after some time you can start drinking juices. Freshly squeezed citrus juices are best suited for breaking dry fasting; it’s good if they are slightly diluted with water, because during abstinence from food the body becomes very susceptible to what comes into it after the fasting process, so you need to be very careful about choice of products and flavor intensity.
Secondly, upon exiting fasting, the process of detoxification of the body still continues. Therefore, breaking out of fasting is half of the fasting process itself. If you immediately switch to a regular diet, you will minimize the effectiveness of the fasting process. So spend the period of recovery from fasting with maximum benefit for your body.
The first day after leaving should be spent exclusively on juices and, best of all, on freshly squeezed citrus juices: oranges, tangerines, lemons, grapefruits, etc. If for some reason you do not want to use citrus fruits, then pomegranate juice would be an excellent option. It is also transparent and has no fiber, the same can be said about pineapple juice.
All clear juices are fine for you. You will have to exclude those that contain starch: carrots, beets, etc. Bananas are not suitable for the same reason. On the second day you can already eat vegetables and vegetable juices, but it is better in their raw form. Only after these two days following a 36-hour abstinence from food can you return to regular thermally processed food.
Dry fasting 36 hours: huge benefits
The benefits of dry fasting for 36 hours are enormous. The body mobilizes its forces. Since energy is not wasted on digesting food, all of it goes to fight inflammatory processes occurring in the body. Also at this time, the adrenal cortex begins to produce special hormones that have an anti-inflammatory effect, which further contributes to accelerated healing, if necessary.
If you do not have pronounced inflammatory processes, then dry fasting will be an excellent preventive measure to prevent the onset of diseases. During dry fasting, the body burns fat most effectively and cleanses the body of toxins.
The body is cleansed both from the inside and outside: the skin is cleansed, it becomes more tender, wrinkles are smoothed out, and the facial skin is completely cleansed if there were problems with it before.
If dry fasting, albeit short, for 24 or 36 hours, is carried out relatively regularly, then this will also have a positive effect on the figure for overweight people. But as you have already learned, it is impossible to achieve this effect in one go.
Also, during dry fasting, the body as a whole rejuvenates. During fasting, you seem to restart the system, so some aging processes can be reversed or slowed down.
Many people who have experienced 36-hour dry fasting note all of the above positive factors. However, you should not abuse it and carry out dry fasting for too long, more than 7 days, or practice 36-hour dry fasting with excessive intensity. It is better to observe moderation in everything.
If you want to fast regularly, for example once a week, then regular water fasting is much better suited for this purpose. Let it be just a fasting day, and psychologically, fasting on water is much easier to bear.
Fasting for one day
Even from daily fasting, it is necessary to exit correctly:
- You should end your post at the same time you logged in. The main healing effect occurs at night, so exit should occur no later than 8 o’clock in the morning.
- The first 12 hours after returning to your usual diet are devoted to careful drinking of water.
- In the first two hours after waking up, experts advise drinking 8 glasses. This should be done slowly and in small sips.
- After drinking water, take a warm shower or bath with medicinal herbs.
- At 12 noon we drink fish broth without adding vegetables or any seasonings.
- Flour is prohibited.
- At 14:00 we add fermented milk products to the diet, for example, kefir or whey.
- From 15-16 hours you can start eating traditional food, but without salt and sugar. We eat little by little, chewing each piece thoroughly.
Dry fasting: how to quit correctly
The process of breaking out of their dry fast is as important as the diet itself. It is very important to follow the basic rules so that your health is stronger and your body becomes slimmer. The body can be easily harmed if you do not listen to advice.
The process of coming off this diet should be twice as long as the fast itself. For example, if the SG was 2 days, then the diet after fasting will be 4 days.
- One day this year calculated from the beginning of the morning (8.00) of one day, until the beginning of the morning at the same time of the next day. The most important healing process occurs at night, which is why it is important to count your diet in the morning.
- Coming out of a fasting diet is as important a process as fasting itself. Therefore, adherence to the diet must be strict.
- The body becomes as clean as possible, so there is no need to injure it with junk food. It is important to consume healthy, high quality foods.
Sergei Ivanovich Filonov
Dry fasting - myths and reality
From the author
I was born in Altai into a family of doctors. My mother and older sister are pediatric doctors. Therefore, as a child, I was constantly exposed to conversations about medicine. It would seem that with such an “amnesis” I have a direct path to medicine. Subsequently, this is what happened. But... Throughout my conscious childhood and youth, I was simply delirious not about medicine. I wanted to be, probably, like all the boys in our yard, a pilot. One day my father and I went skiing. After the walk, we went to a friend’s house for tea, and there, for the first time in my life, I saw a person with cancer. He was very thin and in great pain. This made a very strong impression on me. When we arrived home, I asked my mother if this disease really couldn’t be cured? She replied: “Unfortunately, son, at this stage our medicine is still powerless.”
In the eighth grade, a book accidentally fell into my hands; even now I don’t remember what it was called. It described how a talented folk healer cured one man’s cancer with herbs and hunger. This means that the body has reserves and forces capable of treating such a serious and insidious disease as cancer, I thought. For every poison in nature there must be an antidote. For every disease in the body there must be forces that heal it. After all, animals in nature do not have hospitals, clinics or doctors. They are guided by their natural natural instincts. They know better than any herbalist what herb they need at the moment, or they just start starving. From that time on, I became more interested in natural methods of healing. I started reading books about fasting, hypnosis, herbs, acupuncture. I began to understand more and more: a person is a natural pharmacy, he has everything to treat any disease, you just need to use your work, patience, and will to discover and make these natural medicines work for the benefit of your body.
My decision to enter medical school was a conscious one, but I understood that it would not be interesting for me to sit in a clinic and prescribe pills. I must find a specialty and gain such knowledge with the help of which my future patients could use their enormous hidden capabilities to treat diseases. In my fourth year, I was assigned to supervise a patient with bronchial asthma. When I went into her room, I saw a blooming woman, with a pink blush on her face and shining eyes. She didn't look like an asthmatic at all. I was about to apologize and say that I had mixed up the room, but then I asked again for her last name, first name, and patronymic. It turned out that it was definitely her. “Don’t be surprised,” she said, “that I am so different from asthma patients, because I completed a twenty-day course of therapeutic fasting, and now I am already at the end of fasting. After the tenth day of fasting, my attacks completely stopped and I stopped using the inhaler.” Her appearance, her breathing struck me very much. It is one thing to read books about fasting, but another thing to see the results of fasting in practice. After that, I definitely decided that I would definitely learn everything about this wonderful method and definitely get a specialization in it.
Professor Yu.S. wrote best about therapeutic fasting at that time. Nikolaev. His book was written with such enthusiasm and faith in this natural method that after reading it you just want to starve. The whole group was starving with me. We started fasting on juices, then tried it on water. Of course, then most of my group abandoned it all. I liked fasting before exams - after fasting, my head became light and clear, my memory improved greatly, and most importantly, I went to the exams without any worries.
After graduating from medical school, I was assigned to the Goryachinsk resort, which was located in the Republic of Buryatia on the shores of the sacred Lake Baikal. The nature and beauty of these places fascinated me, especially the energy and severity of Lake Baikal. While working at the resort, I was lucky enough to meet a very interesting person - Verbul Vladimir Romanovich. he had severe bronchial asthma, he was the first in Buryatia to go hungry for twenty-four days at home. His employees at work were amazed at the results of therapeutic fasting that they saw. Together they decided to invite Professor Yu.S. to Buryatia. Nikolaev. When the professor arrived in the republic, they brought him to us at the Goryachinsk resort. There I met this amazing man. Yuri Sergeevich really liked our resort and nature. He said: “You have an ideal place and conditions on Lake Baikal for carrying out therapeutic fasting.” He invited me to Moscow to study in his RDT (fasting-dietary therapy) department. After studying in Moscow, we opened an RDT branch at our resort. Of course, it was hard for me to start - our team was skeptical about fasting and they even called me “the hungry doctor” behind my back. I remember when my first patient came to the dining room on his way out of fasting, the nutritionist brought cold, salty millet porridge and said “here, eat”, he, of course, remembered all my recommendations and waited for me. What if he ate this porridge?! But then our team, seeing the good results of therapeutic fasting, began to have a completely different attitude towards this method, and some even took a course of fasting.
After working on my own for two years, I was lucky to go once again to specialize in RDT in St. Petersburg with Professor Alexey Nikolaevich Kokosov. There I first learned about absolute (dry) fasting and its use in the treatment of diseases. I had patients undergoing a course of wet fasting, and during the fasting, all the symptoms of the disease disappeared, but upon exiting the fast, some of the symptoms returned. For me these were unpleasant moments. I thought for a very long time about how to increase the effectiveness of fasting, while, of course, understanding that the longer the period of fasting, the better the result, but, unfortunately, times came when our treatment became paid, and not everyone could afford to undergo serious fasting course. How to enhance the effect of fasting within a sanatorium-resort environment? My dog suggested a solution to me (for more details, see the chapter SLG in nature). After she was hit by a motorcycle, she refused not only food, but also water. She lay in a dark shed for seven days, and only on the eighth day she began to drink and then eat. I thought - this is an injury, most likely swelling, she instinctively felt it, that’s why she refused water, this saved her. Then, as luck would have it, after fishing I fell through the ice and had to ride a motorcycle for twenty kilometers. Accordingly, I was completely frozen to the bone. Everything was fine, but after that I developed acute frontal sinusitis (inflammation of the frontal sinus). The pain was hellish when I tilted my head down, even tears flowed from the pain. I reasoned that such pain is caused primarily by edema; no water means no edema. Of course, in such a situation, I think no one would have an appetite. I decided that I would fast without water until the pain went away. Only by the fifth day did all the symptoms of the disease go away, and until today it no longer bothered me. This was my first dry fasting - of course, it was not difficult for me to go through it on Baikal, especially since I had experience with wet fasting. But what struck me most was the therapeutic effect obtained in such a short period of time. I have had patients with both sinusitis and sinusitis fast, but the therapeutic result occurred only after the tenth day of wet fasting.
Then a guy with chronic prostatitis came to me for treatment - he had already undergone a fourteen-day wet fast with me. After the fast, he felt better, but there were still exacerbations. I reasoned: in principle, prostatitis is an infectious process, any infection likes to multiply in water, with any infectious process there will be swelling. The guy was very serious about treatment, and he really liked my arguments and beliefs about dry fasting. He completed five days of dry fasting and five days of wet fasting. Exactly a year later, he came again and said that he would no longer fast with water, he really liked the effect of dry fasting, and says that there have been no exacerbations this year. He went through seven days of dry fasting. He called me often and was very pleased with the result.
Of course, I was still afraid to do dry fasting for more than seven days. But I have always been lucky in life to find interesting, unique people. Due to family circumstances, I had to leave again for Altai, where I was offered to work in a medical center where they carried out therapeutic fasting. They sent me an invitation from Ulan-Ude to a medical conference on RDT. There were doctors practicing therapeutic fasting from all over Russia. There I was able to meet one of the founders of dry fasting, professor of traditional medicine L.A. Shchennikov. He conducted eleven-day dry fasting for patients, and he personally went through a twenty-one-day fast. After the conference, he invited me to his place in Kislovodsk. There I met his patients and learned his method in practice. Of course, his method is very effective, but it is very, very difficult for an ordinary unprepared, untrained person to go through it right away. After arriving from Kislovodsk, I myself went through nine days of dry fasting. I went through part of it at home, and then went to the Altai Mountains to Lake Teletskoye, where I realized that serious dry hunger can only be overcome in nature and preferably in the mountains and near mountain rivers. After that, I went through a ten-day dry famine, but only in the Altai Mountains, and we went through the entire famine on horseback on a hike. Taking into account all the disadvantages and advantages of different dry fasting methods and our experience, we are currently conducting dry fractional fasting (more details about it are written in the book).
Positive aspects of fasting
Despite the heavy diet and complete refusal of food and water for a certain time, this technique has advantages:
- Getting rid of inflammatory processes. During fasting, dehydration occurs due to lack of fluid. It activates the body's resources and directs them to fight pathogenic microorganisms for moisture. As a result, harmful bodies die, and inflammatory processes disappear.
- Acceleration of metabolism. Thanks to the launch of metabolism, all toxins and poisons are quickly eliminated from the body. During the diet, fat deposits are actively burned. All this leads to weight loss.
- Boosting immunity. During the period of fasting, body functions are restored.
- A hormonal reboot occurs. Beneficial hormones are produced that have a positive effect on muscle growth and the health of the entire body.
- Blood purification. As a result, the person will have improved biochemistry analysis.
- Preventive measures against malignant tumors, edema, cholesterol plaques.
- Has a rejuvenating effect. A person's skin condition improves, acne, small pimples and other minor defects disappear. The healing process is faster.
Not every beneficial property has a scientific basis. Official medicine confirms only the benefits for the pancreas.
The essence and general principles of the Filonov method
There are 2 types of water restrictions: hard and soft. Features:
- the first method implies a complete refusal of any contact with liquid 1 you cannot wash your hands, face, take a shower,
- the second excludes only the intake of water inside.
The essence and general principles of Filonov’s method are to activate all the protective forces of the human body, to force the body to defeat the disease on its own. For this purpose, the most stringent conditions are provided - deprivation of water and food, especially water.
Under these conditions, a struggle begins between cells for the remaining water resources. Healthy cells take moisture from diseased cells, as a result of which diseased cells die without nutrition. The viability of each healthy cell increases repeatedly.
Bacteria, viruses, parasites, and cancer cells require an aquatic environment to reproduce. Due to the lack of liquid, harmful microorganisms stop multiplying, etc. the pathological process is inhibited.
After breaking the fast, the body’s tissues are renewed at the cellular level, which is of great importance for healing—the intestines are cleansed. A clogged intestine directly or indirectly causes 90% of all diseases, so returning the body to a healthy state is impossible without freeing the intestines from waste products accumulated in its cavity.
Absolute fasting according to Filonov has its own scheme. General principles of the technique:
- cyclicality - i.e. fractional fasting,
- periods of fasting alternate with periods of recovery,
- loads increase gradually
- It is important to follow a diet before the fast itself,
- long-term preparation and recovery from fasting (the entire course is about 3 months, the period of fasting is 3-4 days on average).
The individual characteristics of each person’s body must be taken into account. Before starting fasting, a complete examination of all organs and general condition is carried out. It is advisable to avoid stress during the procedure. Contact with nature has a beneficial effect - that’s why Dr. Filonov’s clinic is located in Altai.
It is dangerous to start fasting treatment on your own, without consulting a doctor. Examination of the body and monitoring by doctors are mandatory.
