Cottage cheese casserole is a protein dish suitable for all stages of the Dukan diet

Despite the recognized effectiveness of the Dukan diet, it is extremely difficult to stay on it due to its duration, because in some cases it can last more than a year. All this time you will have to limit yourself in products. To brighten up their existence, those losing weight prepare interesting dishes from those products that are allowed for consumption. One of them is cottage cheese casserole, the composition of which allows you to prepare it already at the first stage of the diet.

Is casserole allowed on the Dukan diet?

As a protein diet dish - of course, yes! The casserole ideally meets the requirements of all stages of the Dukan diet, including the most stringent - the “Attack” stage. The main ingredient of this dish is cottage cheese. This is a dietary product that is allowed in, perhaps, all major known diets. It also has an advantage over a number of other products because it contains a large amount of protein, which is a must for those losing weight. Cottage cheese, due to its chemical composition, is a building material for muscles, including muscles of internal organs, so its consumption is encouraged on the Dukan diet. At the same time, not any casserole is allowed, but only one that meets all the conditions of the diet.

Which one to choose: store-bought or homemade?

To please yourself with cottage cheese casserole while on a diet, you will have to prepare it yourself, because the composition of a purchased product is absolutely not suitable for those losing weight. Nowadays, the quality of purchased products leaves much to be desired, so when purchasing a ready-made culinary product or a mixture for its homemade preparation, it is impossible to be sure that its composition corresponds to the list of ingredients presented on the package. However, the list itself can be quite honest and frightening with the variety of chemical elements that can hardly be eaten.

A purchased cottage cheese casserole may include:

preservatives; artificial flavors; dyes; stabilizers (including those chemical compounds that were not originally synthesized for food purposes); modified starch (required in every ingredient list). Therefore, the question of the possibility of eating ready-made store-bought casserole on the Dukan diet does not even depend on the calorie content of the product and the amount of sugar it contains, which, by the way, is simply huge in such products, but on the presence of chemical compounds that contribute to the incapacitation of the body and metabolic disorders. Since the Dukan diet implies not only weight loss, but also improvement, release of toxins and a return to the proper functioning of organs, store-bought casserole is strictly prohibited from being included in the diet.

A light casserole made from low-fat cottage cheese is allowed at all stages of the Dukan diet. Important: do not add oil!

Cottage cheese casserole at different stages of the Dukan diet

Each stage involves the inclusion of a certain list of products in the diet, and the composition of the produced cottage cheese casserole must strictly comply with it. Before cooking, you need to carefully read the information about what you can eat and what you can’t, and based on this, select a casserole recipe.

At the first stage: recipes for dietary treats with photos

This stage is characterized by a ban on fatty foods. Therefore, the first thing you need to remember: no oil in the composition and when baking. Cottage cheese, which forms the basis of the casserole, is allowed and even recommended. But with the condition that it must be low-fat. Therefore, the main ingredient of the dish can only be cottage cheese, the packaging of which is marked “0% fat.” The same applies to other dairy products. This means that if there is a need to add a little milk to the casserole, then, again, use it with zero fat content. It is necessary to include oat bran in the dough. The casserole dough for the first stage of the Dukan diet will be as simple as possible, without any additives (vegetables, fruits, etc.).

Protein-curd casserole for the first two stages of the diet

Ingredients:

low-fat cottage cheese - 0.5 kg; bran - 2 - 3 tablespoons; sweetener tablets - 8 - 10 pieces; egg whites - 3 pcs; baking powder - 1 teaspoon. To prepare the dish, you need to ensure that the dough is as homogeneous as possible. Therefore, before mixing the products, you need to grind the cottage cheese with a fork until all lumps disappear. After this, mix with bran, and then add sweetener and baking powder. Sweet tablets are too hard to dissolve on their own in the dough, so they must first be crushed and the powder added to the curd mass.

After all the ingredients are mixed, you can add the proteins. They are pre-beaten with a whisk or mixer until a thick foam forms. Chilled whites are well suited for whipping, so it would be good to keep them in the refrigerator first. After adding them to the dough, everything must be mixed, but now carefully.

Since oil is prohibited, silicone molds must be used to bake the casserole in the oven. They do not require lubrication, and the resulting product after baking lags well behind the walls and does not burn.

Cooking time: 30 minutes.

Oven temperature: 180 degrees.

Calorie content/100 g - 77 kcal; proteins - 7 g; fats - 5 g; carbohydrates - 3 gr.

Small silicone molds are ideal for preparing Dukan cottage cheese casserole. It will bake well and will not stick to the walls.

Microwave casserole (stages 1 and 2 of the Dukan diet)

The microwave oven is ideal for dietary baking, as it does not require fat for cooking. It is very convenient to make the casserole in a special heat-resistant glass container designed for the microwave.

For the casserole you will need:

low-fat cottage cheese - 300 g; bran - 2 tablespoons; sweetener tablets - 5 - 10 pieces; 1 whole egg; baking powder - 0.5 teaspoon. Beat the egg with a whisk until foam appears. There is no need to separate the white from the yolk first. While beating, add sweetener tablets and bran crushed into powder. At the end, add cottage cheese to the resulting mass and mix until a dough of uniform consistency is formed. After that, place it in a mold and put it in the microwave for 5 - 10 minutes. The first time you need to be careful and make sure that the casserole is well baked and at the same time does not dry out. Microwave ovens differ from each other, so the exact number of minutes spent on cooking a dish and the exact power of the oven are determined individually. Average power - 500 W.

Calorie content/100 g - 76 kcal; proteins - 5 g; fats -1 g; carbohydrates - 2.5 g.

Casserole in a slow cooker for the first two stages

This technique will help make cooking easier and reduce the time it takes.

Ingredients:

low-fat cottage cheese - 0.5 kg; bran - 2 tablespoons; sweetener tablets - 8 - 10 pieces; eggs - 3 pieces; skim milk - 100 ml. In this recipe, the sweetener must first be dissolved in milk, which should be slightly warmed beforehand. This way the tablets will dissolve without problems. Separate the whites from the yolks and beat until a thick foam forms. For these purposes it is better to use a mixer. The whites should be well cooled at the time of whipping. Beat the yolks too. Mix all the ingredients and place in the multicooker container, setting it to “baking” or “soup” mode.

Calorie content/100 g -79 kcal; proteins - 6 g; fats -3 g; carbohydrates - 3 gr.

Second step: add vegetables

In fact, nothing changes in the composition of the casserole with the onset of the second stage, with some exceptions. The stage itself is characterized by the addition of vegetables to the diet, which means that now it will be possible to prepare a cottage cheese and vegetable casserole.

Casserole with pumpkin and cottage cheese

Ingredients:

low-fat cottage cheese - 0.5 kg; bran - 2 tablespoons; sweetener tablets - 8 - 10 pieces; eggs - 2 pieces; natural yogurt - 150 ml; pumpkin puree - 150 gr. Pumpkin puree for casserole must be prepared from pumpkin pulp yourself. To do this, it is baked in the oven, having previously been freed from seeds. After the pulp is ready, knead it with a fork or grind it with a blender.

All other ingredients, including yogurt, are mixed, after which they need to be allowed to brew for 15 - 20 minutes. Usually the casserole is laid out in a silicone mold in layers: the first layer is the curd mixture for the casserole, the second is pumpkin, the third is again the curd mass. Then put it in the oven and bake for 1 hour at 180 degrees.

Calorie content/100 g - 92 kcal; proteins - 9 g; fats -1.5 g; carbohydrates - 6 gr.

Calorie content/100 g - 81 kcal; proteins - 7 g; fats - 2 g; carbohydrates - 4 gr.

*Want to reduce cooking time? Mix the ingredients with a blender rather than by hand.

*To reduce the calorie content of sweet dishes as much as possible, use suitable substitutes instead of sugar in the recipe. A plant called stevia has proven itself well. Add it to the casserole and reduce the energy value of the dish by 40-50 kilocalories.

Curd casserole PP in the microwave

Don't know how to start your morning with proper nutrition? Why not start it off with a quick recipe for dried fruit casserole. This is just a great option if you don't have time to prepare breakfast.

  • 1 pack of low-fat cottage cheese.
  • 30 grams of oatmeal or a mixture of oats if desired.
  • 1 egg.
  • A little raisins or dried apricots. Dates are also suitable, then you can even do without a sweetener, since they are very sweet.
  • Honey or any other sweetener of your choice.

Then everything is simple as hell - mix all the ingredients and put it in the microwave for 5 minutes! A delicious and simple breakfast is ready!

Curd dessert: basics and cooking features

To make the dish successful, you need to know the basics of its preparation:

  1. For a dietary dish, it is better to use a fermented milk product with minimal or no fat.
  2. You can grind the cottage cheese using a blender, mixer, sieve or meat grinder.
  3. Adding eggs is considered mandatory so that the consistency is fluffy and a golden brown crust appears. But for a dietary dish you can only use protein, because the yolk contains a huge concentration of cholesterol.
  4. Add vanilla, cinnamon (optional).
  5. Adding sweetening products at the discretion and taste of those for whom it is prepared.
  6. A little rice or semolina is added to the main component to make it fluffy.
  7. When baking dessert in the microwave, you need to cover it with a lid. After turning off, you should wait a little (up to 10 minutes).
  8. Checking for doneness is done using a wooden stick (match or toothpick), which should remain dry after piercing the casserole. The fact that the dish is ready is also indicated by the appearance of a ruddy tint and a lag from the edges of the pan.
  9. When baking in a metal pan, grease with butter and sprinkle with flour or breadcrumbs.
  10. Baking time varies according to the consistency of the mixture. For a more liquid one, it will take at least 40 minutes. For denser ones – about half an hour.
  11. You can’t take the dessert out immediately after baking; it needs to “rest and recover” a little, otherwise it will fall apart.
  12. Before serving, it can be flavored with anything: syrup, jam, chocolate, honey or yogurt. The last gravy is dietary.
